is it just me, or that ever since I removed SBSettings, thanx to the availability of this tweak, the battery has significantly improved!?!?!?!

One of the reasons WHY I don't use or will ever use SBSettings.

I'm really liking NCSettings and the developer seems committed to user feedback and app improvements.

Switched from ISX to this, and love it officially. Although, the aesthetics of ISX are still better, so I made a theme for this :)

Now this is 100% better than ISX.

Thanks for sharing, this is fantastic. Was using SBSettings before, but this is much cleaner/nicer looking. I'm interested to see if my battery life does increase (if slightly). Nice find, because I would have never known about this.

Glad you like it guys! 3G toggle is coming soon, don't worry. As well as Flashlight, Private-Browsing, Vibrate, Silent, and Hotspot.

JamieD360 (NCSettings dev)

Any idea of when the next release (with the changes/additions you mentioned) will be released? No rush of course. Just curious. :D

NCSettings just got an awesome update!! I WAS waiting for Deck and SwitcherSettings but I have iOS 5.1 semi-tethered so I couldn't get them, but now I'm not waiting for them anymore! The new NCSettings has everything I want, the most important ones are:
  • Flashlight
  • Volume slider FOR MULTIMEDIA (configurable), so no more accidentally blasting YouTube videos at work.
  • Silent toggle WHEN RINGER IS ON (configurable)
There are other new additions but the above 3 new ones are the most important for me.

The update looks really nice but still NO "Remove Background" kill switch yet. This is a must so I can remove "WeeKillBackground Pro" from my NC and reduce the clutter even more. But this is a fantastic start though.

Thanks to JamieD for this great app and for making it FREE. I've already donated for his efforts and I hope others can chip in as well if they are in the position to do so.

Also for those who have this app installed....any noticeable battery drainage or memory/resource spike? Just asking to see how this compares to SBSettings (a known battery hog). Thx

p.s. what does the "SHORTCUTS" on/off toggle do?

Wait, I don't get it. If I turn vibrate off when I have the sound switch off, does that turn it completely on silent, and if I turn the switch back on to turn the sound on, it turns the vibration back on, since I have it as always vibrate?

I haven't got that straight in my mind either!

And I'm waiting for HotSpot toggle and Lock/Unlock toggle. So far it's great though!

Oh, and "Flash" is Flashlight?? Nice! I thought it was some adobe flash toggle so I disabled it!

Ok, by SWITCH I'm referring to the hardware silent/ring switch on the phone. By TOGGLE I am referring to the software toggle.

By configuring NCsetting's vibrate setting to "ring only", my silent+vibrate stays untouched (eg. For me, silent always vibrate) no matter if I toggle the setting. The toggle will only affect when the switch is in the RING position. I prefer this setting so that when I need to switch the phone to silent, I don't need to check to turn vibrate back on.

Most other "vibrate" toggle would toggle BOTH when the phone is silent or ringing, which I hate. HOWEVER, if you prefer you can set it to affect both.

No battery drainage or memory spike observed so far (4 toggles only)...in fact, battery seems to improve quite a bit after i uninstalled the SBSettings...

In Settings>NCSettings, what is "> Shortcuts"?

So "shortcuts" gives you ">" that symbol and will take you straight to the settings app, with whatever section you are adjusting.

Is anyone having issues with vibrate not really working on silent mode? Other than that issue, I actually prefer this to SBSettings.

That is adjustable in the Settings app. I personally have it toggle vibrate only in Ringing mode. You may change it to both.
Same with the volume slider, you can configure it to always adjust the multimedia volume.
This is a very versatile tweak!

That's to be expected. SBSettings is a known battery drainer.

All we need is a "Kill Background" function and NCSettings would be complete.

I have it set to silent vibrate and I noticed that when I get a phone call it vibrates but for anything else it doesn't work. I still think it's a great tweak and hopefully that's a really simple fix for the dev.

@BrianBaughn - No problem!
