Using automation to:

* Change watch face out of home, every day.
* Change watch face arriving at home, one for weekend and another one for monday-friday.
* Execute AutoSleep’s “Turn lights off” when I switch on Sleep mode on watch.

Using Shortcut to:

* Turn on airplane mode if the device is a watch, adding device info conditional. To avoid accidental execution on iPhone.

One question about this last Shortcut or another shortcuts... if I create an automation to execute a shortcut like above, i can’t execute on watch. It seems that the automation “brain”, of course, is the iPhone and Shortcuts and actions triggered are only launched on iPhone, it seems that the only way to launch a shortcut on the watch is to launch it manually... is this correct?

Thanks a lot.

If you don’t mind putting an NFC sticker on your watch band and letting run on your iPhone.
Seems like it would be easier and less invasive just to create a shortcut for each band. One tap on the phone if you put the shortcuts in a widget.

Edit: Now that I think of it, I may do just that. I have 4 or 5 bands that I wear regularly.

I just created 2 shortcuts for 2 of my bands and added them to the watch in settings > shortcuts. Now, I can use Siri (with raise to speak) to change the watch faces without using the phone.

You can actually do both based on what is more convenient. I hadn’t thought of Siri though. Good call.

I created a Shortcut that I use as my watch complication that is a menu of all of my watch appropriate Shortcuts - currently the list has:

Audio Apps (tap that and it shows me a list of Audible, Outcast, and Music to quickly open an audio app on the watch)
10 Minute Break (starts a timer for 9 minutes and switches watch faces to Siri face - to show the timer - gives me a minute warning before I need to be done).
Lunch Break (same concept as 10 minute break, but 29 minutes)
Download Podcasts (turns off Bluetooth from my watch and opens up Outcast - lets me download podcasts in Outcast without worrying that I’m still connected to my phone so I get fast download speeds)
Bluetooth On (quickly turns on BT on the watch)
Watch Face (shows me a list of my favorite faces with custom names)
Headed Home (a pre-drafted message is setup to let my significant other know I’m on my way back after work)
Accessibility (quickly launches accessibility in the settings app on the watch)

I’m also working on a Shortcut for music to quickly access my favorite playlists/artists and albums.

I do hope to see some 3rd party support with Shortcuts on the watch - cool to see what I’m already able to do here!

1. It asks. I know it is dumb.
2. I just tested and music plays when i start exercise on aw
The way around this would be to have a time based automation that checks if you are home or at some other location that way at least you could have at a certain time of day do it based on location (so if you are working late it won’t switch back to the face you don’t want)

I have a question. Is there any shortcut automation for the Apple Watch which:

A. Turns off Always On Display when connecting to a bluetooth device (I already figured out how to set this one);
B. Turn on Always On Display when disconnecting to a bluetooth device (I have no idea how to figure this).

Another question: since I figured out how to set option A. it always asks me if you want to execute the shortcut. I don't want any question, I want it to do it automatically.
