Dammit. Been itching to get it now there's a delay.

I had the same and after no update I rang TNT Express. They said the flight was cancelled and the original projected delivery date of 3/11 no longer applies and that they can't tell me when it would arrive and that they will call me later this afternoon once they work it all out.
I ordered 4 things from Apple at the same time (magic mouse, keyboard,iPod Touch etc), three of which were delayed or lost in transit. I'm not sure I would ever use them myself again.

My 13" with a 500Gb just landed in Memphis. Fedex says it'll ship to me in L.A. by Friday. I'm thinking/hoping that I'll see it before that!

Mine landed in Memphis on Monday, sat there all Tuesday. Just left there so hopefully will get here for delivery Wednesday in Portland.

I'm now back to square one. Horrible clicking noise constantly coming from my HDD so they are building me a new one, prioritising it (apparently) and should be with me Friday (so they say). :(

Bad joke & Apple

Apple has a strange sense of Humor...

I just got an email asking me to partake in a survey about my new Mac but they haven't even managed to send me a tracking number yet.

Slow shipping

Well I wouldn't expect it to change, either.. Here's the account of another german guy, who also had this 'Merge In Tnst CZ Pra' thing

That is exactly what my thoughts are.

I'm worried that Apple is sending the MBP via a camel caravan along the old silk road route...

my 17"MBP has been delayed from 8th till 15th of March :(

My 13" w/ 500 GB has been in Koeln since 00:57 this morning, stuck at the 'Import Scan' stage, any clues how much longer it will be there before heading for the UK?

Wow...shipped on Sunday out for delivery today. It was meant to be delivered on Friday at some point but guess not. Can't wait.

Wow really? The exact same model I ordered hit Koeln at 22:57, had it's import scan at 00.41 and left at 03.35 am. It arrived in Donnington UK at 04.01 this morning with a delivery estimate of tomorrow. Wonder why yours hasn't left yet.

EDIT: Just uploaded my tracking journey.

Strange, our mbp's were on the same flight and arrived att Koeln 22.57. Mine had import scan at 0.37 and yours only four minutes later, at 0.41.

Right now, 14 hours later, mine is still stuck in Koeln.

It seems, looking at others trackings, as if it doesn't ship within ours from Koeln, it's stuck at least 24 h. That also seems to be the most common scenario.

Your item will be dispatched tonight probably. All cargo shipments occur in the early hours of the morning (it's cheaper than during the day when scheduled passenger services occur). Items can then be loaded on to local vans for delivery the same day.

My MBP is probably sat next to your package in Koeln / Collogne. I'm expecting it to leave Germany tonight at about 2-3am on a flight to either Bristol or East Midlands. You wont find UPS flight details on any airport website as legally they wont be tracked for security reasons... often packages are more valuable that people. We're lucky we live on a small island. At least in the England-region a UPS truck can get to just about anywhere in 3-4 hours.

I look forward to receiving my first Mac-Anything tomorrow!

And for those wondering why UPS and other logistics firms are flying our Apple products through a zillion airports before reaching us, you need to remember that these companies are not passenger planes flying into every major airport.

The reason your delivery prices are often quite low is that they will fly to airports with suitable cargo hub facilities and often use smaller, regional aircraft, particularly around Europe to take it to a final destination country. That's why you wont see a package being shipped direct on the BA flight from Shanghai to London Heathrow, for example.

Ah brilliant, thanks for the info. Mine's coming to Bristol so it should be a short journey should it arrive there tonight/tomorrow morning. Hope you get yours bright and early!

Well even though mine is in the country I won't be getting it till tomorrow as it hasn't left Donnington haha. Was just slightly hoping for perhaps a day early but tomorrow was when it was expected so I'm okay with it.
