all of you talking about bto- i just went into an apple store and picked up the max config. i7 2.3 15" Matte. I'm in love, it's a fantastic machine. I picked it up two days ago. Somehow, it still doesn't seem to be fast enough, maybe because I'm a speed junkie and I've been trying to max it out as much as I possibly can. haha.

i was actually in a best buy store on thursday and they had the old models out on display for some reason, so i just went home and ordered it online. now i kinda wish i had at least asked someone about them. maybe they had the new models in the back somewhere and just hadn't gotten around to putting them out.

is it likely that a best buy would've had a matte 2.3 17" w/ 7200 hdd on hand though? i was just assuming at the time that the config i wanted would've been "too customized" to pick up in store.

I wasn't even aware BB was stocking them at all yet. I hope not, 'cause that would suck seeing as I would have rather bought it in person.

Yours has shipped already yet says the 7th? Mine is expected to ship tomorrow and still arrive on the 7th. I guess they'll be moving shipments over the weekend.

Apple is usually spot on with their shipments. I've rarely (if ever) gotten a late shipment.

The Apple Store says shipment was on the 28th of February, but the TNT website says at 3:00pm today it was still at Pudong International Airport. It says "in transit", so I'm assuming it means it's now on its way to Australia?

If so, I guess it will arrive in Sydney tomorrow morning, and then it has 4 business days to get to Canberra. Surely that's enough time...

ugh im soo pissed..what does this mean?

Shanghai, China 03/01/2011 15:10 This shipment is warehoused until it is released by clearing agency / Released by clearing agency Now in-transit for delivery

03/01/2011 15:07 This shipment is warehoused until it is released by clearing agency

03/01/2011 15:02 Shipper tendered the shipment to UPS after the latest pickup time for the requested service A day delay is likely

Ah I assumed (for some reason) that you lived in a capital city. I guess it'll probably arrive somewhere in Sydney on Friday and make the final transit on Monday to Canberra.

Either way, Monday is going to be a fantastic day!

Does FedEx continue moving packages overnight? I live in SJ and was hoping I would get it tomorrow.

Yeah. Delivery companies move packages all night, they just don't deliver.

Okay thank you sir. I just wasn't sure if they would keep my MBP until tomorrow, bring it down to SJ, and make me wait until Wednesday to get it. Hopefully it comes tomorrow.

Based on everyone's estimated delivery dates, it looks like regular shipping is taking about 5 business days average. If I ordered on Sunday, this should mean that I'm getting mine on Friday. Still "not yet shipped," but fingers crossed!

Macbook Pro Shipping Information Spreadsheet

Hey, we're up to about 40 entries! One user was planning to gather more data by posting the link on other sites. Let's first make sure we have everyone who's willing to contribute here first. It'd be really great to see some of the updates from those whom have been getting arrival dates in their country/state.

Please add your information to the spreadsheet if you haven't already!

That new link requires a request to access, whilst the older one doesn't. Was it intentional?

(I'm still the only Aussie on there! Where you all hiding?!)

I'm another Australian in there now! Maybe our laptops are watching the inflight entertainment together?

Actually, I hope it gets some sleep on the flight over, I want it charged up when I first open it. :)

This thread reads like a suspense novel! How exciting!
Executive relations ordered mine(replacement): 13" high end MBP so I'm in the dark about it's whereabouts :( I should ask them the tracking number so I can get in on all the fun here!

Anyone else think it's kind of crazy how there are only two out of around forty people getting the 17 inch?

a

Ordered on Satruday and current status is "Prepared for Shipment"

17" AG 2.3Ghz MBP 4GB/500GB 7400RPM HDD

Anyone seen this before??

I am tracking via UPS and it has just arrived in Germany from China and says:

Estimated Delivery: EXCEPTION *

*Your shipment is currently within the UPS network, however and unforseen event has occured which could result in a delay to your delivery.

I am worried now!
