iPod touch Anyone's Engraved Touch Shipped?

Has anyone with an engraved touch had their unit shipped?

Mine sure hasn't.... ****ers....


POST if you have cuz it seems like they are being held up

16GB
Engraving: Yes
Shipped: No
(It's has been in "prepared for shipment" status since Friday afternoon [14th]).

I'm not sure how engraving is holding up shipping if it's been prepared for shipment for 4 days now, unless it isn't actually "prepared for shipment". Wishful thinking would be that they're double checking the quality of the screens and remedying the issue before they are shipped. Wishful thinking.
 
Prepared for shipment since Thursday.

On a side note I am kinda pissed that I got it engraved after reading all of the bad screen reports....though as I have said in my 2 other posts (Horray to macrumors newbies!) it's still covered under warranty.
 
I just got an "About to ship" email from apple. I got an engraved 16 GB touch.

"To Our Valued Apple Customer:


We are happy to report that your iPod touch is now in the process of shipping.
You'll see that the item is in Prepared for Shipment status on our Order
Status website at www.apple.com/orderstatus. The iPod cannot be changed or
cancelled at this point. A shipment notification email with the tracking
number for your item will be sent within 24 hours.

You should see tracking information on the carrier's website within 24 hours
of receiving the shipment notification email.

Thanks for shopping with Apple.

I just this minute got that same message. looks like things are starting to move.

I got the same e-mail and I ordered my 8GB on the 5th at 4pm with engraving I am so pumped for it to come, I hope it is here by friday
 
Ditto-- I just got that e-mail as well. Makes it sound like my order status was changed to "Prepared to Ship" a little prematurely last week. When I saw I had an e-mail for apple I was thinking "yeah! Shipment notice!"

An "about to ship" notice is sorta cruel at this point, haha. Just tell me when it's shipped, please.

Well it says "within 24hrs" so they should ship sometime tonight or early tomorrow (depending on where they are coming from..)

So it looks up for people wanting/needing friday/saturday delivery myself included! 😛
 
Getting impatient. 🙂

People post my order number has had theirs shipped.

Then again, I guess thats what you get for engraving, right?

Apple order status widget now says "package data transmitted to fedex". Recieved shipment notification from Apple, says "to be delivered by Sept. 24"... hmm. If I'm lucky it'll hit Friday, if not-- looks like next week it is.
