iPod touch Anyone's touch shipped from Apple Online Store Yet?

Yea I think we're screwed. I ordered mine Sept 5th @ 12:32pm without engraving and it hasn't budged at all..
I see our friends to the South ordered theirs afterwards and they're shipping. I bet it's the french translation that threw them in a loop!
i ordered on the 7th @ 2:15PM and it still hasn't shipped...and i have no best buy with them in stock or an 
store...i guess the september 28th date was true...haha

Yeah, but you can for a replacement if you need a replacement..
And Yes I do think the engraving is holding up, not one touch (reported here) with an engraving has shipped to my knowledge...

That should help...either way I am thinking tomorrow ships/Saturday delivered at the latest now that pretty much everyone else has shipped.

Has yours been prepared to ship or is it still at the "not yet shipped" state... the crappy state
Mine is in the "prepared to ship" status. Same dates as before, and I got confirmation that those won't change before it says shipped.
If it doesn't go out tomorrow before 10am, I am going to call, because I ordered mine september 5th at 12:52 PDT the earliest i could get to apple w/o their bandwidth being raped.

But you are covered under a warranty for one year from the purchase date anyways so if you do have a bad screen you can still get a replacement. They have to honor their warranties.
It still under warranty so I don't see how this makes a difference edge-wise if you have a bad screen. Unless you are completely fed up with Apple and hate them so much you want to throw it at their heads.....
If I get my ipod on say the 21 I have 14 days to return it? which is oct 3.
If I have a bad screen and I return it immediately to a store to get an exchanged but I get another bad one, does the 14 days restart when I get the exchanged one or is still off the original date?
Also, if we have a warranty for a year why not wait a month or two to go back to the apple store and get a replacement? I know it might take a while because they might not do a direct exchange but waiting will ensure you have a good one.

I ordered a 16gb engraved touch at 1:15 Sep 5th
It is still prepared to ship.
I called up apple today and got it moved to two day shipping.
So As long as it ships by Wednesday and gets here on friday I will be happy.

I'm not sure, my roomates dad works at UPS and they dont upload until it is scanned in from being droped off the truck at a distribution center. Once they get all them scanned off the truck, they send out the tracking numbers to their system which then updates the online tracker but that all takes awhile.
I think it proably take a while for it to load into the fedex system.
o, ok thanks. That makes me feel a little bit better knowing that it probably is on its way to a distribution center. As long as my touch is moving towards me, I am happy! lol
Ive only gotten a prepared for shipment email but I have a tracking number. Looks like ours might not go out until tomorrow.
I'm not convinced. They may tell you that the black negative screen is "within operating parameters" and therefore "not covered by warranty".
I was lucky. I was able to cancel my engraved ipod and now I will wait it out.
I know, many of you think that you can get any thing you want "if you raise holy h*ll" with the manager or whatever. That may work, or may not. I prefer the boring but safe way.
I check my order status about every hour (since I have too much time at college) and every time I check it I see "not yet shipped" and my head starts to hurt.
I check mine every day and have kind of resigned myself to the fact that it wont ship until friday week
