iPod touch Anyone's touch shipped from Apple Online Store Yet?

yeah, I got a $100 off, i checked my order status and I shows the discount, only problem, how do I post the pic up here?

I used to be able to do it through Purdue but website went away when I graduated.



I have a pic though showing price and tax and such.

Which reminds me people need to check bank statements and make sure they didn't accidentally charge for the original price and then again for the new price. I could see that being a problem maybe.

BTW the reason they lowered the price for me was because it had been on the prepared to ship status for 4 days and I couldn't cancel it then.

Not because it hadn't ship yet.

Yeah, I proabley do given that I have never taken photoshop at all and dont even own it.

I did print screen, pasted in to MS Paint and cut out the section I wanted, opened a new file and then pasted again. Deleted the number undernieth the ipod and cut it off again and repasted it. Not sure why I did that, but I did.

Then I posted.

Sorry if you think it is photoshopped.

I haev no way to prove it isnt. But open the file in photoshop and I think if it was a photoshop file you could see the history of it maybe but I'm not sure.

Anyway not a photoshop file.

I'm a designer and i work with ps everyday - your image certainly looks very very much like a bad photoshop job.

This is my first post so i don't know if it's been said or not but have you noticed Stang68 model # for the ipod touch. it's MA627LL/A. Mine is PA6277/A. I ordered mine last week with engraving. i don't know how to post pics but believe me this is my model #. is mine like everyone's elses or is it just because of the engraving? Or does Apple have two different models. oh and i ordered a 16GB.


Nevermind... found out that's it just because i engraved it
 
fwiw, I complained to an apple supervisor this morning and he just called me back and said that he got a reponse from the warehouse and that my order will be shipped out today. I assume everyones that is prepared will be going out today. Whether or not that holds true, I don't know but I wasn't expecting him to call me back at all so I assume he believed it to be true. We shall see.

This is not a stab at jacktiernan - but I think it's funny that, anywhere on the Internet, whenever anyone claims anything out of the ordinary, they're either told they're liars, or asked to provide pics. Then, when they do post pics, those are invariably denounced as "bad photoshop." This snares the guilty and innocent alike, surely.

Me, I got a Wii on Nov. 18, the day before street, b/c Amazon shipped mine early. What two responses did I get? "You're a troll" or "post some pics!" I didn't feel like doing the 2nd, as they'd inevitably be dismissed as fakes anyway.

Again, not saying people did or didn't get Apple discounts (although they do seem like the capricious operation that would do it for some but not others). Just think the larger web culture is kinda funny.

Like i said, just my opinion, based on what i see. (Not a snipe at you either, mate - i know, it is a pretty ruthless forum sometimes with the cries of "pics or it didn't happen"!) :)
 
I ordered on Sept. 5th about 4 hours after the store came back up. I believe it is being shipped from the factory, but could be wrong. It says it shipped Sept. 18th and I will recieve Sept. 24th. I will try to get a picture and reply soon.

Saw it had been preparing to ship on Friday morning very early (aprox 3:00AM est) and not yet ship... she was very kind and said if I would wait for it to show up via shipping she would drop the price $100:eek: Then, she confimed so we have a 16GB Ipod Touch for $299. Plus $14 tax!!!! I am at work so I could celebrate very much but I am extremly happy.

I have never heard of a company do that, esspeccially on a low profit item. On the plus side I will most likely get different batch then current batch which seems screwed up. (screen and audio)

I am one very happy apple customer:D

And to think I had to finangle HP to answer a simple question about the update they do. :mad:

That is awesome that they dropped the price for you! That's really nice that Apple took good care of their customer...almost makes me wish that I did pre-order it just so I could complain and get it for cheaper. And don't be too scared about getting an ipod that has a bad screen. I bought mine in an Apple store in MA on Friday the 14th and it is perfect.
