Issue with Intel or Qualcomm or both?
yea, thanks intel!
FWIW, I live 40 miles from where the network issues were originally occurring and I haven't had one since.

Verizon is sh*****ty in NYC. Manhattan and Brooklyn. ☹️️Using the one that came with the phone. Verizon told me next step is to get sim replaced but I doubt that's the issue.
The Intel chip doesn't support CDMA.yea, thanks intel!

That's right. I forgot that they didn't use the Intel chip for the CDMA .The Intel chip doesn't support CDMA.
Sooooooo what's the number?
Different that the one you're prompted to call to activate while setting up the phone? Please share.
Having the exact same issue here with a Verizon IP7. Was on the phone with apple and they did a full remote check of the phone and they showed no issue. They are going to replace the phone tomorrow. Will see if its a phone issue.
I have the same issue with No Service, 1x to 3G progression and very spotty LTE coverage in my area, which is normally a very strong LTE coverage area.
I had this issue but I just called the VZW 1-877 number and they were able to activate for me with no issues, even on the same number I wanted to activate on.

I wonder if it's a carrier update issue similar to what T-Mobile customers experienced.

Bumping this to the top. I've got two of the 7 Plus phones on Verizon, and they both exhibit network dropping, where the 6s Plus is holding onto LTE. Carrier settings updated when I first unboxed and plugged the phone into the laptop... maybe another one is needed.
