Got my IP7 replaced this morning at the Apple store and so far so good. Could be a an issue with hardware but not sure! Apple reps claim to have no knowledge of this issue.

Please update in a few hours when you've had more time to test. Thx.

I can't imagine the replacement device be any different. I have a feeling this is from a backend or carrier settings issue.

So far so good, driving around and am now always in full LTE 4 or 5 bars at all times. Drastic difference. Could be coincidence, who knows, as VZW may be rolling something out. Not sure!

VZW support just contacted me and had me turn off HD voice as a test. You may want to try the same. VZW "Check by going to Settings> Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE. If it's turned on, it'll show as Voice & Data. Please change this to Data"

Found this solution in another thread. Seems to be working well so far!

Not a solution. More of a band aid to force voice calls to their CDMA networks (which get shut down in another 2 yrs).

Agreed. Turning off VoLTE (by changing LTE to "data" only vs. voice + data) is NOT a solution guys! It may be fine as a test to help Verizon diagnose the problem, but forcing your phone to use the old CDMA network for phone calls is not an acceptable solution to this problem.

Yeah, but I'm shortsighted. So it's a good solution for the time being. I just moved to a new city, and having GPS and data drop out while I'm driving is dangerous since it's removes my attention from the road.

They really need to issue a new beta or update. My iPhone 7+ springboard crashes 2-3 times a day randomly & I lose service on & off, I have Verizon. Never had these issues with my 6s.

Mine was working fine up until today. 3 times at least when I was looking at the phone it did the "no network, 1x, 3G" routine.

This was just before I finished checking the thread. Note the missing cellular data icon. It went back to LTE right after that. Plus I notice the signal is lower now than it usually is.

My 6+ does this sometimes. I have verizon.

lol it's every single time I take it from my pocket to check my phone and open up an app that uses data, it goes from LTE to blank then 1x and then 3G. EVERY TIME.
Yeah like I said my 6+ verizon iphone does it from time to time. It's almost like when it cannot keep the LTE connection it drops it then comes back to 3g.

I too am having issues with my iP7+ 128GB matte black. In areas I should have LTE (always did on my 6) I get 3G or service drops out completely. If I switch to airplane mode and back, it goes to LTE. If I do nothing, it eventually gets to LTE...at least for the few times I had the patience enough to wait.
I tried resetting network settings but that did nothing.
