Well, everybody knows that Apple never updates system status page. I don't know why they even bothered to create it.
Last time I remember there was an Apple Music outage which took about 3 days and even then they didn't make any tiniest change on it. So Steve Jobs-ish!

Not sure what your reference to SJ was about, but I agree with the rest. Companies that have a Status page should use it! And companies that don't have one should get one! Some companies do a fantastic job with their system reports. Apple is not one of those, which is a shame.

Apple Music wasn't finding things in search this morning for me. I could go directly to a previously listened to song, but not find for the same song in a search

Isn't this standard for the App Store? Search used to be good, but recently (over the last few months at least) an exact name search has not produced the correct app at all, even fairly popular ones. Google always found them easily.

That's why more and more we are using Google to find an app we want then jump to the App Store via link.

I've never found app store search to be good or even mediocre. example: Exact name search for tweetbot would always show me twitter first. doing a google search in safari has always been better in my experience.

I am not convinced of Apple's services reliability. Fortunately I am not dependant on their services on a professional, enterprise level.. If I was on the other hand.. Nae, professional users are very clearly no longer their primary group of customers they seek to please... MacPro... Final Cut Pro... Aperture (which I loved so deeply and which was SUPERB back then...) all obsolete by modern standards... unfortunately..

I did notice this morning that iTunes and Apple Music weren't turning out any results

Tim Cook must be proud of this!
No worries, mate. Hopefully your parents will be proud of you someday, likely when you finally make it out of high school and have something of value to contribute.
Every parents must be proud of their kids unless the parent is an idiot or they raised criminals. I don't know about you, you don't have to be a millionaire or contribute big time so you feel how proud your parents to you. Maybe you don't feel that way and don't try so hard, I'm sure they're proud of you. I'm sure Tim's parents are proud of him. Besides my comment has nothing to do with parents being proud of their kids. It's about Tim's comment being proud of his products and services. :D

I don't know...i mean...it took me a while for app store to load. Anyone having problem with that?

Update: Apple's System Status page indicates the App Store issues were resolved shortly after 8:00 a.m. Pacific. Search results now appear to be functioning normally.

Oh good, now I can get back to not finding what I'm looking for because their search facility is so bad.

And yet, when you search for Apple's own apps, they're not even there.

Search for 'remote' and you won't even find Apple's Apple TV remote control app which is named just 'remote'. You need google to find it.

It's been that way as far as I know. I can rarely find apps by typing in their names. I need to search them on google, then I get a link to the app store.

Bizarre isn't it. You'd have thought they'd make it easy to find their own Apple apps but no. It's just laughable.

Well I just did what you described and Twitter was actually the eighth result. 3 Tweetbot results were at the top.

Search - Apple doesn't have search - try iTunes looking for music - good luck finding even a genre of music that is useful. Or apps - they just push the top sellers - good luck finding anything else.

Then go to Apple support forums and find mostly wrong hits to your searches. I am not sure who is behind 'search' at Apple - honestly better to go through google (a pain in the butt).

I think Apple is getting lost in a true 'we know better than you' bubble mentality - it really is not good.

You can still use Google to find and download apps. Easier to do that regardless of whether app store search is working anyway. :(
I did precisely that to download an app I was baffled not to find through the App Store. (Documents by Readdle btw)

I love the irony.

However, this seems like a good sign to me.
Why? Well, firstly because I don't expect very good reliability from Apple anymore anyways, so it's really not a letdown anymore.
However, this seems to indicate that they might be working on the App Store search algorithm to improve it and if there's one thing the App Store needs it's better search and discovery, ESPECIALLY with more and more crap flooding in.

..and i missed the whole thing

The only issue that i had was the reverse of this.... Getflix iOS app didn't show in purchases even though i had it installed, but DID show in search results where i downloaded from..

Sign out and back in fixed this... but i i fear this is only temporary...

It just works

I have a new one "It just breaks"
