This is definitely a fake one.

This is what I get from Taobao, the Chinese eBay. Cost me $70.

Exactly the same with the "leaked" one.

Look carefully at the flash light, too damn fake.

Guys, it's fake - people have already given 7 reasons why and most of those reasons seem spot on. Also, look at the screen of the 5 and the screen of the 6 - the exposure and color level looks completely different. The 5 looks like an actual picture - it looks real. The screen on the "6" has no depth... it looks computer generated. It looks fake even before all the other details. And god, it better be fake, because this just looks terrible.

Ok, folks, as we know with previous generation iPhones, the design also has a function. Apple must've decided to fully ditch glass on the back due to repair issues. They have the data from their stores and third-parties on repairs since the iPhone 4 and must've decided early on to completely ditch glass and go with aluminum throughout. These "lines on the back" are for connectivity most likely. However, they also had to compensate for strength and rigidity, and I'm sure plastic wasn't on the table for Apple's Hardware department. In comes "liquid metal," or if not, another type of material. For me, it looks fine. I'm sure they went through many design changes and arrived at one that wasn't too jarring and could be as flush with the aluminum makeup as possible. Folks just need to chill on out until it's in your hands and you can judge for yourself.

With huge bezel. Two years it took them to come up with this. The bigger, uglier, iPhone 5. Two years it took.

As much as I'll probably buy it anyways, I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. I realize the lines on the back have function, but damn could they not make them thinner? HTC has been doing the thin lines on the back in a way that adds to the aesthetics of the phone for a couple of years now.

Maybe Jony's been too busy with the iWatch and Apple TV projects to care as much about the iPhone.

Rumour proved to be fake. But it's one of the better fakes.
What got me was the iPhone 6 apps didn't angle with the phone, looks like a straight up and down photoshop. The 5s next to it on the other hand it's apps angle with the phone perfectly.

Another way to say it is, the photo was not taken 100% straight on above both devices. The 5s screen reflects this face as it should but the 6 does not and the apps look as if the camera was hovering directly above it though the photo was not taken that way. Photoshop work.

But it's one of the better fake rumours.

This can't be the real deal... on the iphone 6 pictured above, you can see that the front-facing camera is smaller than the proximity sensor (that's the black dot to the left of the front speaker)....

when you look at the iphone 5s, the front-facing camera is larger than the sensor....

there is no way the camera will be smaller than the sensor on the iphone....

one more thing- the way the rear camera and the flash is placed on the 'ip6' seems a bit disproportionate in terms of design.... it's too near to the top edge of the phone... i'm sure apple will not overlook this detail

More pics from the same user.

Take a look at the packaging; I suppose it's possible for an engineering sample or something, but there's no way this is retail:

The pixel density looks smaller compared to the 5s? You can see the pixels easier.

When you take a photo of a screen there is an effect called moiré that causes a pattern. The pixels will not be discernible in the actual device.

In regard to the color cast in the photos, there is a principle in photography called white balance. If you are shooting in mixed lighting such as incandescent with fluorescent and combining that with the LED of the screen, you will see the exact same results as in these photos.

This video says it's most certainly a fake.

Also able to unlock using touch ID but obviously a fake judging by how slow the applications launch.

The buttons stick out too much too and the screws at the button aren't level or apple like

Ah thanks for that, I completely forgot. It just seems to extreme to be almost unrealistic.
