Let's hope the dog video was false, because I find it seriously sick, having had dogs most of my life and loving them to bits, ensuring they have the best life possible, sexually abusing them is sick, very sick. If it is real she should go to jail for life and I mean life IMO.

I still think time will show most of these celebs actually sent these pics to other people over time and no real "hack" has occurred. Again, Once you send your nudie pic (whether you're a celebrity or a nobody) to anyone else, no matter how trustworthy you think they are, all bets are off and you should assume it will end up very public. The lowest tech answer to the publication of these pictures is probably the right one.

If that was the case then a number of the images and videos would have been public before this, but until the major release of them, none was out there. This currently points at a ring of people who had these photos and shared among themselves, and that they all had knowledge about where and how to get them.

And that place looks to be iCloud and the flaw seems to be what Apple just patched. There are no current reports about flaws in Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

It's actually legal in a number of US states... :(

If there had actually been such a video, then there would have been reports about it. Which means that whoever started the rumor here is a liar.

Isn't it possible that after they were uploaded to iCloud that she removed the photos from her device immediately.

So I ask you - how do YOU know that she doesn't know where the photo(s) came from.

Even if pics deleted from phone immediately (assuming taken on phone), they still could have gone to her computer on photostream if enabled, and on other photostream enabled devices. They could have been grabbed during wifi transmission to iCloud, or over a public wifi, or even from her wifi if not properly encrypted. I'm not saying they weren't hacked off iCloud and I'm not blaming her. All I'm saying is she really doesn't know how they were obtained. If she really knew that much about the technology, no one could have gotten them in the first place.

----------

Has Kirsten called you up? We are all waiting for you to tell us exactly how you know as a FACT, that Kirsten Dunst has no idea where she keeps her personal nude photos and where the hackers did get them from.

You need more ice. You're becoming more incoherent.

Or she does. You don't know. I don't know. It's ok for you to admit that :)

It's possible she knows. Just like it's possible she doesn't know.

Seriously????

I would be lobbying the government to change that pronto! Sick, not a good thing for America as the country is pretty good to animals, then again can't you marry animals in some places over there?

There's plenty of blame to go around but to pretend like these people are blameless is foolish. Fact is this wouldn't have happened if they used a secure password.

Using a weak password to secure your data in this day and age is like playing with matches and gasoline. Don't be surprised when you get burned.

Again, thank Apple for that. Do you really think that normal users (and that includes celebrities) have any clue about password security? Why should a user be allowed to use one of the 500 most used password for iCloud? Why should Apple allow user to use simple passwords?

BTW, this critique also extends to other companies like Google, Dropbox, Yahoo, etc.

But Apple is selling its products based on lines like "It just works" etc, and fails to probably educated their customers.

If it existed it'd be all over Reddit and/or 4chan, so I think this person is just making stuff up, OR saw a video that is someone else and thinks it's JLaw. This is the first place I've even seen a whisper of it. Not the place I'd be expecting rumours like that, tbh.

I've already admitted you don't know. I've also admitted I don't know how they were obtained. Kirsten Dunst doesn't either, even though she thinks she does. She may be right, but I'll wait for the facts.

No. There's a difference. You and I don't know. Kirsten might know exactly. You do understand the difference, right?

Oh good, so it seems BS, I'm glad considering the topic... And yes I was surprised to read it in these forums too.

There would be reports about it where? Something doesn't happen and POOF the only ones who report about it are CNN/whoever. There are steps between.

I am a reporter, reporting an alleged event. This is pretty standard.

As I also said- I don't expect this event to gain a lot of traction because it doesn't fit the agenda. It's actually counter to the agenda as it would cause people to think for a second and share even LESS of their personal data online. The goal is to get people to share more, once they think it will be safer. We've already got many people using their finger print. There's voice recognition, iris scans, who knows what else. People will accept it. They'll accept these marks in return for ease of access.

People would store their dirty pictures/videos on facebook if they thought no one would see them. They just can't get it through their heads that it doesn't matter where it's stored... if it's in the cloud somewhere, it's not private.

Bottom Line,

If you do not want naked pictures of yourselves all over the internet, don't take naked pictures of yourselves, morons.

So you would also argue that if you don't want your money stolen out of bank account, don't have a bank account? And if a girl doesn't wanna get raped, stop looking attractive?

Your point of view is everything that is wrong about the direction of technology. People have the right to assume and expect privacy. Lack of tech expertise doesn't put the blame on them or excuse the perpetrators. Seriously, you find no fault in some computer hacker rooting through other people's private stuff and then just releasing it? Just because they could??

You yourself should reflect on how you're viewing this situation. You display an astounding lack of empathy. In fact, it's same lack of empathy required to steal someone's private photos and then release them to the public just to humiliate them and gratify your own ego.

Again, TMZ, Perez Hilton, and the other gutter feeders would have been all over it. It would have been a massive story for them.

You're not a reporter. You're a commenter on a forum.

Again....
She....knows....where.....they.....were...stored.
Please...explain.....how.....she.....could.....know....with....certainty....how....they...were...obtained ...unless....she....was....involved....in...the....hack (which I doubt).

Are you Kirsten Dunst? Didn't think so. End of discussion

Am I the only one constantly falling over with laughter when I see "powerstrokin" posting in this thread?

I mean, no offense, but come on... :)

Wow this thread is the stuff of legends. Every know it all on both sides is posting and beating their chests and its beyond comical. Here's the only FACTS of the case (anyone claiming to know otherwise is clueless)

1) celebrities were hacked
2) it may or may not have been through icloud

That's it. People need to stop as if they've solved the mystery when the FBI themselves are still investigating. Now to address some of the other crap in this thread:

1) NO, it is not the victim's fault. I can't believe people are even suggesting that. These pictures are private and if apple (or any cloud service provider: was brute forced, it is their fault 100%. It boggles my mind that brute forcing is even a viable option anymore. Too many ways to prevent such a thing

2) sorry, people kirsten dunst posting "thanks icloud" with an emoji of pizza and a turd with a sad face is not proof that it is Apples fault. This thread is fodder for every troll that posts here and they're talking full advantage of it. While it is seeming more and more likely that apples poor security is involved, kirsten dunsts tweet should not be offered up as proof nor is she sure how she got hacked either. I understand you guys want to jump at every opportunity to bash apple, because that's what you do, but at least try harder to present a coherent argument.

3) If it's not just icloud that was hacked I expect all you apple bashers to be posting about how poorly the other sites were secured too. Won't hold my breath because that's not part of your agenda.

Seriously, I don't know what's worse, the people blaming the victim's or the people jumping up and down screaming take that apple with zero evidence that it was (or was only) apple that was compromised.

No your not. Anyone with any common sense would know that to say there is a video around of a celeb having sex with a dog could land you in huge trouble if it isn't true.

In your own words:

Let me clarify- I can't be 100% absolutely certain it was in fact her, but the room in the video looks exactly like the room in some of her pictures, and the female in the dog video looks just like her.

BRILLIANTLY SAID. Thank you.

I don't know about you guys, but I trust Apple with my nude photos way more than Google or Microsoft. :p

Blah blah blah. Whatever, y'all. I'm out. :p

By the way, my username is in reference to the Navistar engine for Ford's Superduty. Powerstroke.
