4.2 made watching Netflix into watching shows in 20 second chunks between pauses. Now this makes the ATV UI crawl and I can get into Netflix period.
Doesn't apple test any of their stuff?

Well, they would probably fall out of sync when the next iPhone/iPod/iPad iOS update comes out... Just because they might fix some touch issue in iOS doesn't mean that the ATV needs to be updated, too.Ok I'll say it. I know this is picky, but why can't they synchronize software build numbers to the rest of the iOS world?
Just updated and now in addition to interface lagginess all over the place, I am unable to sign into Netflix. Anyone else?
Fingers crossed that this update solves or at least improves all the Netflix problems me and others have been having! Time to go download...
I am unable to get NetFlix to work. It seems any type of network function locks the AppleTV for a few minutes.
I am doing a RESTORE to see if a clean install will correct the issue.
My Flickering is gone, but still not working well.
The AppleTV is telling me that it will take 30 minutes to download the iOS. It only too a few minutes to do the update. Maybe there are networking issues with this latest version.
4.2.1 does not fix this. Am I the only one with this problem? I have to set screen saver to "never" to keep it from crashing.
Yes, same problem. Can't login to Netflix.
But the timing is interesting. I was watching Netflix when I read that there was an ATV update. After installing the update, I lost access to Netflix. So if they aren't related, it is an AMAZING coincidence.
No 1080p, no sale. Get with the times, Jobs.
