Found this thread trying to figure out why there are no 2015 MBP 15" available on the Apple refurb site. Well...Now I see there are tons of 2016s and crickets for the 2015s. What do I know, but it looks like Apple is playing dumb with the 2015 acting like they never happened in order to push the thesis of the 2016 design. Pro computer = flexibility = a few more ports than 3 of the same TB3 ports. And you know I really find the SD card reader to be really useful on my 2012 MBP. I'd like to have an HDMI connection when I want to bore the **** out of everybody with a slide show or when I need to jack into a conference room screen to show clients property ideas. I don't want to have to remember to carry around a bunch of dongles. For the money that apples is charging I also need to be able to expand the machine beyond its stock state. Apple is obsessed with weight and design and appears to be fighting against any kind of upgradability or future proofing. I like what somebody else said about the MBP becoming a commodity computer. True that. Flexibility and expandability is what I want. I guess the last stop on the apple train was 2015 for me. I'll see what I can do.
