To be hones I see no reason that the Apple Store should not sell both Windows and Office. Many Mac users live in the real world and use both.

You'll probably get pounded for that (and now me too) but it's a true statement. I regularly have to go to Paralells or bootcamp on my Mac because that's the only way to get something done in a world dominated by Windows machines and Windows users.

Same, I've been looking into the Momentuns and it seems like they have a good combination of style and audiophile sound.

I have a pair of Momentums and they're amazing. The best I've heard in that price range.... and bests even much pricier headphones I've heard. Well worth $350.

apple should continue to keep bose products out of apple stores, online and brick and mortar stores.

the reason??
bose made a deal with the NFL so now when players get to the stadiums they can wear only bose headphones. it's weird how team athletes have to follow so many rules about personal items. love reebok shoes? tough, put these nike shoes on. you have an endorsement deal with beats? wear them on your own time, you use bose when here.

so apple, keep bose products out of your stores.

just a question for other users here. do you think microsoft gives away more surface tablets through endorsement deals than they actually sell?? every player and coach in the NFL gets one for starter but i doubt that's their only deal. i'm guessing it's at least 80 per team X 32 just in that one deal.

i actually wish surface was doing a lot better and taking a lot of business from ipad just so apple would make an effort to give us something that does as much as the surface!!! i am getting close to jumping ship. IF the ipad pro is nothing more than a larger screen then i'm out as far as tablets go. i want a lot of thing other tablets have had for 3? years or more now. run osx!! usb port for connecting hard drive!! card slot!!! multitasking!!! higher screen resolution!! how about some more buttons that can be programed in apps?? a real pen with pressure sensitivity that can compete with wacom!! how about a screen that works better outside?? more screen customization!! you can put more apps on each page with jailbreak, why can't we with ios?? i want a tablet that would make my laptop not worth carrying!! make it a few milimeters thicker if you have too!! i want to have 1 prtable device that does everything my desktop can do. right now we have a few watered down versions of some apps. i want real photoshop, office, zbrush, scrivener, final cut, music apps. go up too 256GB & 512GB of flash onboard and cloud storage foe projects, photos and documents. if the thing cost $1200 to $1500 oe so it would be worth every penny!! keep making the regular ipad but make another level for people who want one device that does everything a desktop does but is still easier to carry and does more than a laptop!!!

i know i've ranted about this same thing before but it's the only product i really want. i may buy other stuff like the phone, watch and computers without a word of complaint, but the ipad deserves more rants than any other apple product!! it's the one device that could be so much more than it is. all you need to do to see that is look at the competition!! but until we, the consumers give apple a reason to do it i doubt they will. i wont but a new ipad til things change i'm using an ipad3 with a crack in the screen. i hope others will also do this.

NO NEW IPADS UNTIL APPLE ACTUALLY GIVES US AN ACTUAL NEW IPAD. NOT THESE TINY "UPGRADES" WE'VE BEEN GETTING FOR YEARS!!

when I read "anti beats" I thought, so these are affordable then...lol

Agreed, the price point is interesting. IMO, Apple is testing the waters with this product. There are enough consumers out there to sell a fair number at these price points, in specific markets. Will it be enough?

Regardless, I don't see BOSE Headphones back anytime soon. :apple:

I actually almost got the new beats solo2. I saved myself from audio suicide, haha.

The Solo2 are actually very good from what I've heard. (before anyone throws anything at me, I use Audio Technica). The Wireless ones are kind of pricey, but I'm considering them since I want to get some bluetooth headphones.

See guys, we're not *that* bad...

:apple:

Let’s see how long they’te up there. ;)

That is an excellent, and unexpected, sign of reasonableness on Apple's part. As a seller of quality equipment the Apple Store would do well to offer several lines of quality headphones.

remove if they start selling...

See Apple finally gets how headphones should look and sound.

good move...choice is good.

My god, what is wrong with you people!? Did any of you even bother to use the slightest bit of critical thinking skills, let alone read the entire article?

I'm sorry but, any time I see an article written by Juli Clover I know it's going to be a complete NON-STORY!

She wrote as if Apple only sells Beats and now they graciously added a competitor, and all of you I've quoted are acting like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread... but if you read down a little farther you see Miss Clover invalidating her own story with the following "... the company continues to sell a range of other headphones from companies like Bowers & Wilkins, Alpine, Parrot, SMS Audio, Marshall, Denon, Sennheiser, and more."

So the gist of the "story" is, Apple sells (and have always sold) a bunch of headphones, including their recently acquired Beats, and now they've added one more brand in their already healthy line up of competing brands... Wow, stop the presses!

Critical thinking would suggest that based on the two headphones appearing in the article we are talking about premium headphones. My Apple Store has a lot of cheapie stuff but not a very good selection of higher-quality headphones.

Funny, I was about to post the same thing!

The article is about Apple's Online Store. The highest end Headphones on their Online Store are the Denon Music Maniac Artisan Over-Ear Headphones at $999.95.

And again, as infowarfare stated and more importantly, as the original article stated, their are many other high-end headphones from Bowers & Wilkins, Parrot and others (such as BeoPlay.) Just saying...

It's pretty amazing someone can be so emphatic and sooooo wrong at the same time. I bolded the only correct thing you said: Bose made a deal with the NFL. Full stop. Absolutely none of your other statements have an iota of truth in them. Please take the time to actually research the sponsorship before making errant statements. I'll give you a Cliff Notes version:

Bose's deal with the NFL precludes competing products from being shown for a specified time frame before, during and after the game. It's the same prohibition for all products that compete with official NFL sponsors, whether it's Bose, Nike, Ford, or any other official sponsor you can name. It's part of the NFL/NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Players have to wear Bose? Uh, nope. Coaches and sideline personnel have to wear Bose supplied headsets. Players can wear any headphones they choose to wear as long as the name and/or logo is not visible. A simple piece of tape makes the issue moot.

The shoes you mentioned? Wrong again. Footwear and gloves are specifically exempted. Players can wear any brand of shoes and gloves they want (exempted under player safety and performance). Watch any NFL game and you will see multiple brands on the field at the same time.

I theorized previously that Bose is most likely back in Apple stores because the Bose/Beats lawsuit was settled. Apple didn't want to sell products from a company that was actively suing them. Suit over, back to business.

/rant over:D

OT: The more choices a consumer has, the more likely he/she will find something that makes them happy. Good on Apple for increasing their offerings.

I'm sorry, let me simplify it for you...

Headline: Apple Adds 'Anti-Beats' Master & Dynamic Headphones to its Online Store, Proves Open to Competition

Last Paragraph: In addition to adding new headphones from competing brand Master & Dynamic, the company continues to sell a range of other headphones from companies like Bowers & Wilkins, Alpine, Parrot, SMS Audio, Marshall, Denon, Sennheiser, and more.

Result: NON-STORY.

Interesting, mine sells a lot of high-end stuff. RHA (my current IEMs), B&W, UE, Phillips, Bose and others.

Yes indeed. ;)

I have had my Parrot Zig's now for a year and absolutely love them. I travel often and they are just fantastic wireless headphones.
