Its ok, outside usa apple maps are irrelevant
Give me the option to opt out of the Trump show.

It looks like any sources that use US Geographic Names Information (probably all companies do when the device is in the US) will see this change.
I vote we all start calling it the Gulf of Cuba - that would annoy a LOT of people.

I definitely hope this will be reverted by the next Dem President. These kinds of changes are uncalled for. Why suddenly Gulf of America?

On Bing maps it is designated "Golf von Mexico" as we speak. Looking from Germany at the German language version. Google maps de names it
"Golf von Mexiko (Golf von Amerika)"

If this was the only thing government is doing I would agree. But you can choose and nitpick. Government is doing exactly what they promised - getting normalcy in more ways. The destruction done to this country in last 4 years is enormous. It will take some time to clean up the filth.
I think the only gulf is the one inside the heads of most of your politicians. And ours are no better for that matter.

I'm almost 100% on OSM now. OrganicMaps has saved my life at least once, has half of wikipedia built into the offline maps, is usually much more up to date, has better layers and works in the middle of bloody nowhere very reliably. Including on planes.
