Actually, I didn't like the I'm a Mac ads as good as the newer ones. Mostly because the newer ones concentrate more on just showing what you can do on the hardware, and how easy it is. This is instead of the even more smug "I'm a Mac" commercials. They just seemed more like they concentrated more on "Making fun of the other guy" in them. So the attitude of the Mac guy seemed a bit irritable. Though, the "I'm a PC guy" was always quite funny. He, in a way, made those commercials. But I think it speaks in more volume to just show how this device simply allows you to do "this" easily instead of making them talk down the other guy.

That's what I think are the more effective commercials, though yes, without the "I'm a PC" guy's humor.

I think the only thing the "I'm a Mac" commercials actually did was make Apple users look like arrogant snobs. I had a friend lash out at me when I made a little joke about it. Last time I ever did that!

The ad for Airplay was pretty misleading --
Pressing the airplay button showed "iPhone" and "TV"
It really says "Apple TV"
.... I wonder why they removed the "Apple TV"-- it is making the less knowledgeable think that you don't need another piece of hardware to play video on TV.

Also, whenever I stream video from my iPhone to the Apple TV, it takes
F-O-R-E-V-E-R (like sometimes 60 seconds or more) to begin playing the video on the Apple TV-- not the instant play that I wish for and the ad shows.....

You do know that you can make it say whatever you want, right? It's in the settings. You don't have to stick to the default name. And this is very important if you have multiple ATVs.

I have one of mine showing as "Family Room :apple: TV" and yes the little Apple sign does appear on the iDevice when selecting it for Airplay.

Can you play a video made from your iPhone directly to the AppleTV? I don't have this option. Is it just me?

Nuc

Yes you can do that. I do it all the time. I believe you need to be on at least 4.3 to do it. And I'm not sure if the Verizon phones have it yet. In iOS 5 they will.

Mind sharing how you do this? I'm on iOS v.4.3.3 on an AT&T phone and don't get the AppleTV icon from my camera app. My only options are to email a video, MMS, MobileMe and YouTube.

Airplay is underdeveloped. I want to play audio on multiple speakers-including my iPhone, but only Remote allows that.

It is a feature built into iTunes itself, not just via remote. Unfortunately a you said it does not currently work on iOS devices.

I can't either. I think this works only for music and movies you downloaded.

Airplay works with any media you can add to iTunes/sync to your device. Even third party apps such asTuneIn Radio can airplay the audio stream.

Currently you cannot airplay any content from the camera roll unless you have a jailbroken device and download a plugin to allow it.

Videos stored in iPod/Video app can be airplayed though.
