Good work, Apple!

And for those who think a gay person is the same as a dog, I have bad news for you: ignorant people are dying faster than they are being born. And with them, die their votes.

Apple's stance is just one TINY piece of enlightenment in a long-overdue trend that simply cannot be stopped, no matter how much hate anyone has been taught to repeat.

You believe everyone is equal, but you believe that two people of the same gender shouldn't be allowed to get married? Where's the equality in that?

You're just contradicting yourself.

As I were saying, I do not care if this bill is or isn't passed. People can do whatever they want. Yes I do believe gay marriage is a sin and stupid but everyone deserves equality. God made this world and us for a purpose, a choice. It's their decision on who they marry, not me.

People around here are so blinded by this issue that they don't see sarcasm when it stares them in the face and resort to name calling. Too funny.

For someone who doesn't care, you sure do have a lot to say on the subject. No one is forcing you to believe anything. If people think that you're the scum of the earth because of your beliefs thats their right and you shouldn't be forcing them to think differently.

I'm just bored / I can't really let someone misinterpret what I say and leave.

For you non-Christians, Christians debate with each other on this gay marriage issue. Not all Christians are judgemental. My feeling is some of God's laws that are easier to accept than others probably factor in to be against Gay marriage. It does make me sad that man is moving away for God's word in our laws even among believers.

How is the post you quoted well said given what you stated in your follow-up? If gay people are conditioned to be strait and would chose it over being gay, what is stopping them? Your post reads more like a counter to what the guy you quoted said.

Lots of undercover bigots in this thread. You guys don't care if your fellow citizens don't have equal rights under the law. You say nope or I'm indifferent because they keep asking to be treated equally. That is so un-American. Do you people hear yourselves?

As I stated, I'm neutral to this.

I think people should be able to say racist things without legal punishment as long as it is not actually harmful slander. Sure I'd totally disagree with a Nazi and call him retarded, worthless, and ignorant, but why should anyone be prosecuted for just choosing their own beliefs?

I have no idea what your point is, then. People aren't being prosecuted for being against gay marriage or saying homophobic statements.

For or against is not relevant here. This is a states right issue, and should remain at the state level.

The US Constitution says:
The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

Therefore, if one state allows it, ALL citizen in ALL states should have that privilege.

If it is just religious, why are my taxes affected?

Because the government is meddling in something that it has no right to meddle in in the first place... who do you think makes your taxes!? The point you were just arguing against was that government shouldn't be in marriage. You cited one of the ways in which they currently are in marriage, and should be removed from it. I understand the concept that those caring for children deserve tax breaks, but I know childless couples who get marital tax breaks, too. What special circumstance about them says they deserve a break?

It makes me sad that man wants to use a 2,000 year old fictitious book about a non-existant invisible man in the sky in our laws.

By that measure, there are a lot of undercover racists as well. Too bad there isn't a massive push from Apple to help fight the injustices of Latinos and Blacks.

Then again, doing so wouldn't put the company in the spotlight.

I agree in so SO many ways.

It makes me sad that man wants to use a 2,000 year old fictitious book about a non-existant invisible man in the sky in our laws.

I makes me sad when people want to ignore issues that have been plaguing their country for years. Or when they want to attack one of the only forces that helped those people through 300+ years of oppression.

You need to continue reading, and review the reason for the text....

Here is the meaning:

"A provision found in Article IV of the U.S. Constitution that prohibits states from discriminating against those who are not state citizens or from favoring its own citizens over citizens of other states."

You are misinterpreting.

Yeah, they are. Maybe not by criminal court but by civil court. Also, please stop using that highly inaccurate term, or at least recognize that "homophobic" is an inaccurate term. It's like calling a pedophile a "pedo". Yeah, a child

Underlined is wrong or at least unverifiable, rest is right. Though I'm pretty confident that you're the equivalent of a Muslim radical except for Obama's political beliefs, so you'd extend Obama's level-headed commitment of separation of church and state towards hate for all religion.

I am not taking sides here, but the Bible is fascinating either way. More predictions have come true than Natradamis. Archeological finds have also supported many many entries that are in that book. Intelligent Design is also very interesting. If you enjoy researching this type of thing, you might find it interesting.

Me either. Its amazing how backwards of a country we really are.

Isn't abortion still illegal in Ireland? Anyway, recognition of same-sex unions is still more the exception than the rule worldwide.

I think it's 50/50 whether Prop 8 and/or DOMA are overturned. Kennedy is probably the swing vote here. It's sort of the mirror to the healthcare case last year. We have 4 who are pretty certain votes to overturn it, 3 who are pretty certain votes to uphold it. Kennedy and Roberts are the wild cards. I think Kennedy's inclination may be to uphold Prop 8 and overturn DOMA. That wouldn't necessarily be a contradictory outcome. He might prefer that the issue be decided by the states.
