Yes.Maybe dumb question: since this has GPS, does that mean you can use it to track a run without having to also carry around your iPhone?
Are you speaking about what @ILuvEggplant typed or the post that he linked to at DC Rainmaker?Man, that's a terrible post. Just wanted to let you know.
I am a pretty avid runner. Been running for years and at the moment training for my fourth marathon and I must say I disagree - yes the build in apps could be better regarding stats but they are pretty damn solid already and it's by far the best running buddy I've had (not counting my lovely dog)
Nike is a lost company. Tim, who sits on the Nike board, needs to stop trying to make this work
Other than some interesting AW bands, nothing has come out of this broad effort
this really required a team up?
btw what great marketing apple did with the watch.
you still think these actors are still at apple after this photo op?
BTW the heart rate data and gps of the watch are very inaccurate compared to other watches. But some of you guys will believe otherwise. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/02/apple-watch-review.html "BUT I LOVE MY APPLE WATCH!! APPLE IS THE BESTEST IN THE WORLD!!"

I've had my series 0 since launch and I work with it on everyday. I've never seen this reset calibration data option and I've had my Watch down in buckets of tile grout many times. Just rinse it off and back to normal. I do wish I had got one with a harder screen, as mine(sport) looks like it has been through a wood chipper. You're assuming that the problems you are having are a fault of the watch's design or technology. Is it annoying? Yes. Is it something you have to fix on periodic basis? Yes. Is the fault with the watch 100%? That's not entirely clear. When you calibrate, do you also wipe off the watch? Could sweat and dirt be a factor?
I'm not (yet) an Apple Watch user, so I don't have hands-on experience yet. It very well may be a flawed design, as you say.
he sounds like Kermit the frog
That band is sick. I hope they release that as a standalone option (or hopefully a 3rd party band from Amazon)...
I want that cream Nike colored band.
that's awesome. wish it was out earlier when i got the first nike+. oh well, great watch, love using it and perfect for running.
Reminds me of an Oreo ice cream, maybe that's why I want to lick the screen.
Honestly, you should try a few runs with a Garmin Forerunner 630. You won't be saying the AW is perfect for running after that, you'll be saying why can't Apple make a watch that at least matches the Garmin app's stats. Apple needs to seriously up its game. AW is a toy compared to dedicated sport watches. AW has the capability. Apple just doesn't care enough to make the software. It prefers co-branding to true performance.

I'll never be able to watch one of his videos without thinking of your post again!
Why? Why blow hundreds upon hundreds more on a product you recommend when the OP is clearly happy with their choice? You paying for it? Thought not.
I think Co=Branding IS a smart choice, not only for fashion but for expertise. Garmin is great at what they do when it comes to watches + GPS. That said how many hard-core runners use Garmin vs Nike shoes - nationally, or globally? How much would you wager? The amount of miles Nike has in their runners shoes vs Garmin could have apple in the lead.
My mom was happy with her SDTV. Does that mean she shouldn't try a HDTV? My point was that Apple is lagging in the running stats realm. Personally, yes I like to hear about new things and ideas even when I'm comfortable with what I have or know. It's called growth.
OP can try or not. I was just making a suggestion. It's up to him or her to decide what to try, buy, do in his or her life.

Not sure what your point is. I'm making a watch functionality to watch functionality comparison. Not sure how shoes figure in. Most runners buy the brand that fits their feet. For example I can't wear Nike shoes. I'm a Brooks and Mizuno guy. It's not about labels or brands, it's what my feet tell me. Asics were once my go-to but the toe box got to narrow. My point was Apple needs something more than the basic app they offer.
