Wouldnt it be hilarious for the Samsung CEO/awyers to walk in and sit down on the table, and bring their iPhone out and put it on the table?
lol!

Apple has absolutely no reason to negotiate anything with thieves, unless it's under legal compulsion to do so.

Though a simple "discussion" sounds innocuous enough.

Seriously??? Your commitment to Apple leaves me speechless

Apple: "We did everything first!"
Samsung: "No WE did everything first!"

It doesn't even matter anymore.

Apple: "We did everything first!"
Everyone else: "We were doing this stuff when you were borrowing money from Microsoft to stay alive!"

It's kind of ironic that you would post such an uninformed opinion in this particular story. The MS "investment" into Apple was actually the result of a settlement in a patent dispute. It also included MS agreeing to support IE as the default browser as well as the full Office suite on OSX.

You're right... it's doesn't really matter anymore. We have so many amazing products today. But don't forget:

Apple launched a new generation of smartphones when everyone else at the time was doing the same ol' thing.

Palm announced yet another QWERTY WinMo Treo just 2 days before Apple announced the iPhone... and nobody else had a next-generation phone anywhere close to being on the market either.

Android phones didn't even come out until over a year after the iPhone.... and the first Samsung Android phone was 2 years after the iPhone.

First thoughts…*

Would be fun to watch.

My commitment to Jobsian attitudes about tech and competition (which are very effective attitudes) are what should leave you speechless, mostly because they're so damn smart.

Because none of that matters right now. As in now, while the MS/Nokia ship is sinking; now, when the future of personal computing has been so easily handed to Apple; now, when Windows 8 easily looks like a bigger fail than Vista; and now, when the competition doesn't even have a viable tablet after over two years.

And Apple has never borrowed/copied/stolen any designs from anyone, ever, in their entire history.

Not once.

Ever.

That's very sad and pathetic when someone is more butt-hurt than Apple itself.

Look at the post above the one you posted chief.

In your personal intelligent completely unbiased opinion, what makes Windows 8 look like a bigger fail than Vista?

I think because the tech community at large is complaining about it, because it requires people to change how they interact with Windows in a huge way.

I don't see why people compare it to "the next Vista". Vista was hated because they completely changed the way it handles drivers from XP, as a result most of the XP drivers wouldn't work. Companies didn't launch drivers when Vista was in beta, and were achingly slow about releasing them after.

Computer companies were pushing out laptops with the Sticker "Ready for Vista" that could barely run it. This is not the case with Windows 8, it can run on any computer than Vista and 7 can. In many cases others that it can't. Because it requires less resources to run. The Driver method is the same, if it'll run on 7, it'll run on 8. Video Card manufacturers have already pushed out drivers just for the beta. Companies are already releasing Apps for Windows 8.

Eh. Not really. I've been on Windows 8 since the Consumer Preview came out a little over a month ago. People have been screaming about how MS killed the desktop and blah blah blah Worst Windows Ever. It's all hyperbole. The changes made are more superficial than completely redefining. After a month of constant use, I barely even acknowledge the differences between it and 7.

Apple should stop crying. They act like Apple was the 1st to create a candy-bar phone. When in fact, LG was the 1st to make one back in 2006. Apple then copied the design and released the iPhone 4 in 2010.

What did apple do? Slap a apple logo in the back and a one button design in front? Wow! Want a cookie? LOL

Wie need a whole new approach for this patent issues. Some of the basic patents need to ne public domain.

I couldn't agreed with you more, why negotiate with thieves.

I really missed your trolling when you weren't posting as much recently, please post more often! Gives me a good laugh!

Good. I'm hoping Cook is more level-headed than Jobs.

People like LTD are hilarious. I've never seen someone's life hinge so much on a corporation's products and politics. And to think, this guy does it all for free.
