It really annoys me how he always says "products" and "devices"... generic corporate words that remind me of Blackberry. And no, I don't know what the alternative would be :p

Grateful that you are here to safeguard the money that each of us personally earns. I am planning to buy a new car next year, and I will certainly check in with you to make sure I make a wise decision in this regard.

yeah, because that's the only difference, especially for those who own a 5S, 6, 6S, 6, 7S, or 8.
Wasting your money on something useless doesn't make your argument valid for the fact that there's sanity about wise purchases which you think you're doing right when in reality you are doing wrong. You tried to counter argument me but unfortunately it failed.

I was at the apple store of Manhasset (25 minute drive outside of Manhattan) and there was such a small line this morning with a few people camping out who were disappointed because there was a line of maybe 15 people. I was getting the iwatch 4 (no reservation, just walk in) and i was able to get the iwatch 4 44mm aluminum sports band with A LOT of other iwatch 4's available. They also had a decent supply of iphone XS they said.

Thank goodness I chose to go to the apple store right outside of NYC as oppose to Manhattan.

Today is should be a happy day in Apple land, but on this tread there is so much negative talk that seems to be coming from posters that are not buying the product anyway. Now that's a waste of TIME.....

In Berlin the launch was a total mess - waited for 6 hours in line to find out that all stainless steel watches were out.

I don't expect them to have everything available but at least to communicate if stock on certain models is
exhausted or nearing exhaustion. Instead they had people waiting in vain for hours, just because they didn't
care to inform them.
There are other ways to say "**** you" to your customers - this for sure is one that will be remembered.
Should pre-order next time.

Apple Stores globally open at 8:00 a.m. local time to allow customers the opportunity to unload that cash burning holes in their pockets and purses for shiny new trinkets they really didn’t need...
[doublepost=1537541344][/doublepost]It’s disappointing and discouraging to see how Apple stores have morphed into strictly phone, tablet, and watch outlets. TimCook has said that these devices have “replaced” traditional cameras, video cams, and other devices. Thay have not done so for me. I still want my camera and video cam for their intended purpose, iPhones are cumbersome to use and difficult to hold outside of making phone calls..

I picked up the max with an appointment. I was in and out in 15 minutes! There were about 30 people waiting in line that didn't have reservations. 10ish that were waiting to get in the store with reservations when I left. Pretty smooth, setting it up now!! =D

For the first time ever I won't be getting any of the new phones. They've simply become unaffordable, especially when there are similar phones that are much more competitively priced. As for the 'budget' range Xr, that's simply too big. It looks like they're simply aiming at the rich Chinese market now and damn the rest of us.

Apple offers iPhones starting at $449, allowing anyone to choose the features that they desire the most vs. the cost of those features.

If you're looking at the price of their top-of-the-line flagship model, offering the biggest iPhone screen ever, fastest CPU, best camera and other upgrades and seeing that it's a bit more expensive than the last model year's flagship, which was smaller so not a great comparison, then I'm not sure what you expect Apple to pull off.

I too wish they were less expensive, and I won't be upgrading my 7 Plus until next year, but I just don't see the outrage that I see people expressing over the price.

You’re simply not a target for Apple. I would simply say move to a more simple device like and android. It’s quite simple.

This!! All of this!!
There is nothing wrong with not purchasing a product that is just not economically feasible for you.
While I'm not an Android user, I wouldn't necessarily describe all their devices as "simple". However, I do think moving to a brand that more aligns with cost as a factor may be the best option for those who are priced out of purchasing Apple products.

Side note: I don't get mad at Lamborghini because they priced their Aventador SVJ out of my reach.

Got my watch this morning. Went to the local Apple store at 6am, I was 4th in line!

Nice to have a watch again!

Congrats!! Enjoy!

Apple still offers the discounted 4.7 iPhones for the 7/8. I still think those are reasonably sized where they Still include a decent price point. But yes, there larger, more expensive phones is not for everyone’s size preference and budget, especially in certain countries. It is unfortunate they discontinued the SE, but that’s the nature of tech not having a guaranteed future in Apples lineup.

Just called B&H photo for my Apple Watch Series 4 “preorder”.

Just as reference, I only preordered with B&H because a senior editor by the name of Juli Clover added B&H to a list that you would assume she did her due diligence before posting it to the world. I received my confirmation email from B&H at 3:03am EST.

The B&H representative said that the update is that the watches will be in their inventory the first week of October. Questioning why B&H even held a pre-order, all he could say was that he doesn’t know why and he doesn’t know how new product sales are managed.

Juli, if you’re reading this, it’s too late. Do not ever add B&H Photo to your pre-order list for the hundreds of thousands of MacRumor followers to view. You have lost credibility to me, which probably doesn’t mean anything to you.

Totally agree with this.

“Can't wait to hear what you think!”

Phones are way overpriced for an"S" type upgrade with lack of new features.
A larger screen and better camera are not new features.
Apple has become a luxury phone company.

The entry level iPhone is the XR, not the iphone 7. Unfortunately, the Xr has the same
pixels-per-inch (326 ppi) as the original iPhone 4, from 2010.

And offering a 2 year old iPhone 7 as an entry level, I believe is a joke of bad taste.

Apple offers iPhones starting at $449, allowing anyone to choose the features that they desire the most vs. the cost of those features.

And authorized resellers like MVNO's offer iPhones for even less than US$449.

Apple sells refurbished iPhone 7's on its own Web site starting at US$379.

As HappyIntro points out, there are plenty of options for anyone looking for an iPhone but not wanting to pay in excess of US$1,000. And these iPhones are competitively priced against comparable Android devices.

If the iPhone Xs camera is so good, why do these photos are clearly NOT shot with it? especiallyApple shoot pictures with prosumer/pro cameras...

This message to damn ass android users ,web site shows this page is a Macrumors ,if you love your ****** Samsung phone why are you here in this site ? At list our phones won’t blowup in our pockets lol

Now this is over with; I want to know when the October event is.
As the September event was just the watch and phablets; there's an incredible amount of things waiting to be announced.
The sooner Apple gives a date; the sooner MacRumors can put up a countdown to their big launches!
