I’ve seen family members who did exactly that. Gay people were just going through a phase. How do they know if they hadn’t tried it. All the standard ignorance they were eager to share. Yet it all changed when their kid came out. Suddenly they’re sending out invitations to a wedding for their gay kid. How long are gay people supposed to put their life on hold waiting for some people to catch up.
People like you are the reason why this stuff matters. Nobody is forcing anything down your throat, grow up.

it is under attack but you have to wait for the attack? I personally think let the state marry any consenting adults, just don't force it on religious communities, so if a church, mosque or synagogue want to keep to the tenants of their faith, don't try and force them. As far as I am aware marriage is a religious thing as well, in its origins at least. Not sure why anyone would want to get married if not for religious reasons.
