I dig the colors. Getting some iBook vibes meets the last go around of the MacBook line in the mid-2010s. I see why they decided to add Neo next to it, separate it from the issues of the past.

This is a cool idea for an entry level MacBook. Looking forward to hearing about how it handles daily tasks.

It would’ve been cool to bring back the iBook name… or call it iMacBook… but Jobs didn’t want the former name following Apple after the Intel transition so it’s dead. I guess the iMac will be the only Mac with an “i” in front of it.

RIP to my 12” MacBook replacement dreams. Guess it’s time to find an M1 or M2 Air somewhere.

Turns out Neo was not a code word after all which is unfortunate. Bad naming and extremely low specs. This device will not age well.

Not liking this on first look.

Edit: people still reacting to this? I would delete it but I'll leave my hot take here for the world to see. I've since changed my mind on my opinion of the device in general but still, that 8GB is not going to age well.

Instant buy at that price. What’s the base ram is what I want to know. It’s adorable! But can it replace my beloved m1 air?
It has the same 8GB RAM as the iPhone 16 Pro which is the A18 Pro chip.

From what I've heard the A18 Pro matches or in some cases outperforms the M1 chips.

Especially if the Air has a binned M1.

Do some benchmark checks but if you're in the market for a new Mac and your use needs haven't changed much you might get an upgrade for a cheaper price.
