So $9.99/month for everything Apple has? What happens to iTunes Match? They still want $25?

That's not going to work for me. That's way more than I normally spend on music.

I guess I'll be sticking to my 4 app setup for Music:

Pandora = radio

iTunes = the latest and newest of what I own

Spotify = music I want to listen to but don't own or want to buy

Google Music = cloud storage for downloading my library, but not on my device.

It's good we get 3 months free to try it out, otherwise I don't see a reason to cancel the music service I have. If it only plays music similar to music you own, then I'm really not interested. I'm a person who also likes to listen to new music, something from artists I've never heard of before so I can experience new music from all kinds of genres. If this service can't provide that capability...not interested.

Definitely sounds good. I'm using Spotify but I'm willing to switch if this is as good as it sounds.

Of note - I notice the post mentions they're starting their own lovely radio station? Uh, maybe I'm wrong but I can see this being one of those things that Apple quietly kills off a year from now when they realise that nobody actually listens to it, and that people are perfectly happy just building their own playlists in their Spotify clone.

The audience laughed when Irvine said that Apple Music is a 'revolutionary music service'. He is a terrible speaker by the way, I actually didn't understand what he was saying most of the time. Good thing Cue is still there.
The reason why they laughed was because the way he delivered the 3 points about Apple Music was in a very similar fashion to how Steve Jobs introduced the IPhone, when he said it would be three revolutionary products but turned out to be just one.

For me, Siri integration is the one thing that has been missing in all of the streaming music services and is the one thing that helps set Apple Music apart from the rest.

Wtf. Is this the worst WWDC keynote ever? I vote "yes"

I don't know whether it's the absolute worst, but it's the first I can remember with no hardware announcements. I really like the improvements to OS X and iOS. That for me was the best part of the keynote (which was an unusually long 2.5 hours!). But Apple Music ... meh. I'm not sold on it. I thought it was interesting that Cue didn't announce the price till the very end; up till that point, they all made it sound as if it was simply taking the place of iTunes Radio. I started thinking that it would be free on any Apple device. THAT would have been huge!

Wait wait wait.. Is this thing still US only?!?!?!?!?!?

Zane said he was broadcasting to 100 countries, so the radio bit at least isn't just US.

Does this replace iTunes Radio? That was free! Also, I'm still not sure about the value of streaming vs purchasing, but perhaps if I had a better signal everywhere I go - including aeroplanes - I might change my mind.

I have no idea what Apple Music is. Do they want me to pay $10 a month for radio? I have no idea what the one more thing is.

Since you might not have been paying attention, yes, they want you to pay $10 a month for the radio in your car.

You get FM radio, and you even get AM radio. No data connection necessary. You just use the antenna that's part of your car. Here's the one more thing: you get to listen to all the songs and talk shows broadcasted over the airwaves, 24/7!
