While Apple may not be combining the Black Friday discounts with the education discount, they will be at least partially combining it with the EPP (Employee Purchase Program) discount. The EPP discount is available for employees of the government or other large companies. Here is the text I have seen for the EPP Black Friday event:

Log into the Apple EPP web site on Friday, 11/27/09 for additional holiday discounts on top of the already discounted prices! Additionally, on Monday, 11/30/09, purchase Mac, iPhone or iPod accessories and get free shipping regardless of the purchase total (you always get free shipping on totals over $50).

oooh, my wife works for the gub'ment.... hmmmmmmmm.

i will stick to apple.com (hope discover do not say u can not buy a mac at apple store :p )

$100 off Black Friday special, plus $100 off student discount, sounds like a good time to buy a $2,000 i7 iMac...

FYI, in the past this has never been a stackable discount. IT has always been one or the other, and of course it is the same amount either way, so who gives a care.

I work for a company that has the EPP (which is about 6% discount). I may have to spend a bit this Friday at the online store.

Not much of a sale when it is less than 20 per cent off the current selling price.

The only place substantial discounts can be had are with refurbs. And then, who knows what is the REAL condition of the electronics.

If you buy refurbs through Apple, the "REAL condition of the electronics" is just as good, if not better, than new products. Read about Apple's refurb program and you'll see why.

Wow! This is really a perfect treat for me.. I have saved money for this and I am excited to shop! This would be an early Christmas treat for myself!

They are advertising it on the UK site, so hopefully we will get some discount.
