Right, i really need help with this!
As my parents have been paid today, i was going to get a macbook pro though my college tommorow, which gets me it at £1,180 compared to the £1,399 RRP.
So do you think that cause of the black fridays sale, if i get it this friday, ill get more off?
Any ideas/help/answers would be much appreciated :):):apple:

Extremely unlikely that you'll get it for less than £1,180 on Friday. I very much doubt they'll be offering it even as cheap as that, it it's reduced at all.

I hope Apple put the new UK VAT rates into effect on Friday as well, I would love Apple forever if they did that.

It is 1180 now, with educational discount, just wondering if itll be any cheaper :)

Microsoft Live is offering a 25% rebate off ebay buy it now purchases. I've used it to buy four of the new nanos and and a 16GB ipod touch. I bought from a NY Apple retailer (Datavision Computer Video) and had absolutely no problems.

I have been reluctant to use it on computer purchases though. For my new MBP, I bought from Amazon because of their excellent return policy. In retrospect, I'm glad I went through Amazon because I had to do a couple of exchanges.

exactly. still don't get it why people purchase over at the apple store. even holding breath for their so called black friday deal which is as weak an lame as the next insurance company next block. with the apple retail "black friday" deals you'll get other places everyday price.

moreover, the eBay credit is instant now. sure the apple elitists would not use m$ live search even to save money (saving $$ is so un-apple, right?).

Can anyone remember from last year if refurbed Macs and iPods were eligible for BF discounts? They're already cheaper but an extra rebate certainly won't hurt. I'll go for a refurb iPod if the price goes down a bit; if not, I'll keep my money for a better opportunity later

I would also be interested. Are the refurbs eligible ?
