Beats has the branding and name cache. If you guys want real sound with real bass in them, try V-MODA. Either Crossrade M-100 or the wireless version.
Beats is just childish audio quality.
Touchbar is such a waste that not many likes it. People just use because it is there if given a choice people would choose a proper keyboard. Gimmicks like these will help in the future, proper innovation is the way to go. Irony is Apple thinks that touchbar is a great innovation so no discounts. 2015 MacBook Pro might be last sensible design for a MacBook pro from Apple. Hope Apple learns fast.Excluding Macbook Pro with touchbar... meh.
Why is the tbMBP excluded from the offer? Shouldn't the people dropping the most $$ be included in the offer?
Don't wanna come off as a troll, but they couldn't pay me to wear those ugly, generically designed headphones that look like a blown up kid's set. Would much rather be wearing my AirPods, but still got till February for them to ship!
In 12 months I have purchased a rMB, two iPad pros, an apple watch, an iPhone 7, and 7+. Not one single promotion like this. Oh well, I am not gonna get worked up, however this would have been nice...

There is nothing stopping Apple from continuing the improve the sound quality of headphones until it is comparable to other headphone brands. Which would probably cost less than trying to market that V-moda brand until it has the same degree of brand recognition of Beats.
three thoughts:
- wow!
- it is time for me to start celebrating chinese new year; and
- are sales that bad in those countries?
Step 1 - receive said Beats headphones
Step 2 - sell those atrocious headphones
Step 3 - purchase AirPods with that money
*Optional - purchase second pair with remaining money

You're missing something. Beats has the branding name, but they are over priced, cheaply made products with "Catchy" colors, with average or just above sound quality. (Exclusing the Beats-X, which seems be more on The Premium side).
Anyone with a sense or knowledge without having to be an audiophile, can easily choose a stronger product that boasts a more mature exoerience with spending about the same amount of money.
Beats has the marketing corner over everyone else, including Bose. But branding doesn't equate to what a product delivers, the consumer is attracted to marketing hyped colors and likely is more orientated towards a younger generation.
Sounds like a plan...until the fine print....

Any promotional headphones returned for a refund must be returned with the Eligible Product in order to receive a full refund.Sheesh....
