that price to attend is insanity!!
I guess the only updates iPhone will be getting are internal - I can't see them using an image of the current unit if anything were to change. But my predictions are usually horribly off. I guess they could surprise with a metal back.
The two bridges mean that they will release a tablet.... oh, wait, wrong year.
I'm about to get a day's worth from the phone and I use it heavily for browsing, texting, calls, various apps, what must you guys be doing on your phones?I agree with you. Number 1 reason I sold my iphone. I couldn't go to work and get a day's usage out of it. Fix the battery life and I'll buy one again Apple!!!
My wife organizes conferences for a large tech company and we discussed the cost recently. She explained that these events are very expensive to put on and Companies just try to break even on them. So 5 days for $1295 is pretty good value.
I expect:
iPhone 3.0 software released
A new iPhone model being announced for shipment in Q4
The release data of Snow Leopard being announced.
Maybe a new Apple TV?
YES! I would definitely buy one! It needs to be upgraded badly.
The invitation makes it look like the iPhone will again take center stage. This makes me a bit sad, I was hoping for Snow Leopard to make the news to promote OS X. More and more it looks like Apple is turning into a company that specializes in portable consumer electronics.

I'm sure it's just the pessimist inside, but I have this sneaking suspicion that they won't give us a new iPhone at this event, or even worse, just offer a minor upgrade to the aesthetics and a bump in storage. I hope they realize how many people are expecting an amazing new iPhone and squash any hopes for one if they don't plan on releasing it. I just want something to not only take the wind out of the Palm Pre's sails, (which I think a 3G with 3.0 does anyways) but really rip them down and set fire to them.
Seriously, who rates posts like this one as negative? Right now, 17 people have clicked "negative".

What would be cool is if it went like this.
Announcer: Now to present the keynote, I give you Phil Schiller!
Crowd: .........
Steve Jobs: *Walks on stage*
Crowd: Huge applause and roar for ten minutes!
The new iPhone is going to require the user to press the home button every 108 minutes.
Or maybe you could have Phil come on stage and start the keynote, only to have Steve leap from off stage and fly-kick him, then proclaim "Im back bitches!"
