The Memoji is wearing glasses just to get everyone in the Apple/tech universe buzzing about AR glasses. Honestly I can’t see Apple announcing AR glasses when there is no one there in person to try them out. Doesn’t seem like the kind of product you’d announce at a virtual event.
So what is the hidden meaning here?
Apple will announce Glasses on June 7th, with the developer tools ready for download that day as well.

Think about it....we already know that WWDC is on the 7th (because they told us) so why would they want to show the date in the reflection of the glasses?

I honestly can’t think of anything I could really really want. Big Sur has been really solid. So I will say surprise me!

I’d like to see “Right Size All Columns Individually” setting in column view in Finder to actually work. It has been broken since I have started using Macs in 2013. Submited this bugs many times only to get info that this is a known issue...

Sometimes I really wonder if Apple engineers really using Finder for any of the work they do or they have Forklift or something else installed.

Received this image on my e-mail... Look at the ears...

I doubt they'll just spill the beans on the announcement. The Apple Silicon architecture was announced last year at WWDC.
I agree. I think hardware announcements are definitely possible especially considering that the rumored M1-X will be out in products that are aimed at more “pro” users and developers who need more power (specifically graphics power).
I’m wondering if this hints at possible M1-X MacBook Pro announcements since this image comes from the M1 Mac event.

Also, with WWDC being a developer focused event, it does allow Apple to go into specs and be a little more “nerdy” with their announcements. Having companies like Maxon, Unreal and Adobe add some highlights about the power of the M1-X would fit right in at WWDC. They could also show some snippets from developers who got their hands on it early.

Hopefully we don’t have to wait much longer. I could grill a steak with how hot my 16” gets. Those Intel chips run hot! My fiancé’s M1 MacBook Air stays cool through it all.

Probably just hinting at face-id on the new Macs and nothing to do with glasses... which are just being used to reflect the date.

Begging for features? I'm in! How about a freeze button in Safari to prevent automated refreshes. I know of several sites that auto reload on a short timer, which collapses the content I'm currently reading. I end up having to re-expand the content and scroll back to where I was. I assume that is to drive more ads and appear like more clicks.

Ideally: load page to where I want it, hit freeze and the next actual click releases the freeze automatically. Power to the users!

You can already do this, sort of.
  1. Do this: Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop menu in menu bar
  2. Now toggle: Develop > Disable JavaScript
It's JavaScript that does the page reloading, so you can "pause" JavaScript while the page is on the screen without affecting the layout. Just don't forget to re-enable JavaScript when you are ready for the next page. You can assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle that menu item in System Preferences > Keyboard. That gives you the one-click access to this feature. You could assign "F8", for example, which is the Play/Pause button.

Is it just me who is wondering if the glasses on the invite mean anything specific related to Apple Glass?
It’s possible... see the reflection in the glasses.. although it’s a Mac, there’s no blurred dock background.... either that or it’s AR...

Interesting that the glasses don't have sides.....maybe just me.
The glasses that Morpheus wore in "The Matrix" did not have any sides! This means something guys! Question is... What? I was also looking for a White rabbit! 🤔

I sure miss the days when a new OS version got released when it was ready, not when the calendar said it was time. My first Mac was a IIcx running System 6.0.3.
You mean like System 7 that got released without the ability to print, or like Copeland and Taligent which never quite got there?
