Apple Announces 'Far Out' September 7 Event Set to Feature iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and More

One of each generation, so I guess that's 14? However, I've been promising myself more and more that "this is the year I'll skip, since there's nothing mind glowingly new" (and breaking that promise.) THIS year might really be it though.
Everyone is reading the first paragraph very optimistically. It will be exactly like WWDC. “A special event with an in-person component with invited members of the media.”
Lots of people are talking about astro mode, but in this image I see it hinting at an always on display like the Apple Watch.
Apple announces they already landed on Mars and opened their first non-unionized off-planet Apple store.
It'd be awesome if this refers to a new camera capability like zoom or astrophotography. Or, black or matte black anything. I'm so ready.
I'm ready and waiting to order the iPhone 14 Pro and the new Airpods Pro.
I will wait to see what is announced before I make any decision on the Watch. For sure, it will not be the Pro model.

I've only had the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 13 Pro Max and owned Android phones in between them. I'm happy to be back with Apple, though, as everything seems much better.
Not sure which card you have but the Platinum card introduced that last year. Either way you still have the 90 Purchase Protection from Amex which will cover accidental loss or damage in the first 90 days of ownership.
