Yes, it’s great marketing. You’re so hyped to buy something that Apple is more likely to get two sales out of some people (buy one thing immediately, giving you time to think about how much you want the phone too) vs someone having to decide to spend that much in one day, or deciding between the two.

This year I’ll have my 12th iPhone
There was recently a Sturgeon Harvest Moon and I, as a very poor photographer, tried to take some photos with the phone which were terrible. Then tried my Sony alpha and after reading online did take a reasonable picture. If I could point and shoot with the camera it would be insane

That's not how the level of updates are judged. If it were then any update would be revolutionary to people who don't have a smartphone. It's still incremental over the last model.
The new model of scooter from company X is a revolutionary upgrade to people who walk to work. It doesn't work like that.

No Apple product is launched in a vacuum. It's always measured against the last iteration.
"Revolutionary" is completely overused these days and should be reserved for whenever something comes out that's completely new and leads the industry in a new direction.
While no single component was revolutionary, the (original) iPhone as a whole was a revolution for the cellphone/smartphone market and lead all consumer electronics in a new direction. Or at the very least, the iPhone was the first smartphone that got enough exposition to truly set the smartphone revolution in motion.
But there has not been any kind of revolutionary smartphone/cellphone since the original iPhone. As powerful as they may be, they're all just improved iterations of the original.

But I so badly want it to also include satellite connectivity for emergency calls.
And who are you even going to call when you're "Far Out" and there's no coverage? Satellites could help with that.
Plus, Mark Gurman was talking about it earlier this year, that Apple were considering it for iPhone 14.

Same except I never bought the plus or max models, just the smaller ones.
3GS, 4, 5, 7 in jet black, X, 11Pro and 13 Pro have been my favourites.
Far Out = The support for satellite communications? This is a big feature for me since I don’t need to buy another device for emergency purpose (eg. Spot or Garmin InReach). I take my motorbike off road and no mobile services a lot of the time. Bring it on!
Loved the form factor of the 6+/7+, it was such a departure from the 5S.
But the 13 Pro Max is just such an amazing device, the camera (particularly video) never ceases to amaze.
Can't wait for the 14 Pro Max!!
