This means only one thing. No press releases of other products between now and february.
So I guess we won't be getting new mini like last year even though the chips are out.

Can’t wait for it to come to the uk, but wish it had a proper keynote this tells me it’s not that wow. We still don’t know what killer apps are made for it

As someone with only one working eye, I honestly feel this is a piece of tech (no matter the manufacturer) that I simply will not be able to get full use of.

Maybe I'm wrong; I've been this way for over 40 years now, and I've adapted fine. But this, to me, seems to be something you need two working eyes to experience fully.
Straight from the press release:
“As with all Apple products, powerful accessibility features have been built right into visionOS. Key accessibility features like VoiceOver, Zoom, Switch Control, Guided Access, and more have been reimagined for spatial computing. Users can interact with Apple Vision Pro entirely with their eyes, hands, or voice, or any combination that works best for them. They can select a preferred input method such as their eyes, finger, or wrist using Pointer Control, pause on an element of visionOS for a few seconds to simulate a tap using Dwell Control, or simply use voice commands for activities across Vision Pro using Voice Control. If input from both eyes is not an option, visionOS also allows eye tracking with one dominant eye.”

So yes, it works with only one dominant eye, or no eyes if you happen to not have any.

Man I hope this is available in the UK in the next few months, really don’t want to wait 6-12 months for something so awesome.

Edit: and while I think about it, 256gb seems stingy… we moan about 256gb/8gb ram in the lower end Macs, it’s hilarious that a $3499 product will have the same specs. Would have hoped for 512gb at least. Does that mean the “consumer” version in a few years launches with 128gb? 🙃

A new product needed an event, maybe there not much to show so they didnt bother

I wonder if VRchat will be supported. I just started getting into VRchat and it's a lot of fun, even in desktop mode as I don't have a VR headset yet.

If this thing supports VRchat it may be worthwhile as you know it will be well engineered with excellent image quality. If it doesn't, there's pretty much zero point in buying it for me.
