I voted this positive, primarily because they got the 12 days of Christmas "right". That is, the 12 days start after Christmas day, and end on the Feast of the Epiphany (Jan 6).

Most people think it is the 12 days leading up to Christmas. WRONG!

Dear Santa Jobs,

I'd like to receive Scott Pilgrim vs the World in the 12 days of Christmas.

Sincerely,

Frann

Why would people vote this positive? It is not available in the US. Not good. :(

Why would anyone vote Verizon iPhone positive? It will not be available in the other 194 countries on the planet. Not good :-(

Catch my drift?
:p

Already downloaded my copy, hopin for some good stuff this year, though can't really complain with free! Lol

My understanding is the apps were the same across Europe last year but the songs and videos varied by country, I guess to suit individual tastes in that region. All in all it's a nice giveaway and you can usually find one or two things worth keeping. I must admit though I do find it very odd that the same thing isn't available outside Europe.

LOL.

You are aware that there are more places than America, right?

Europe's much, much older than America anyway (in terms of recorded history).

i still play trivial pursuit on a daily base with my friends during lecture at uni lol

Not to completely pwn your ass or anything, but you're WRONG.

The twelve days of Christmas start ON Christmas day and end on January 5th, aka the TWELFTH NIGHT. The 12 days are then FOLLOWED by Epiphany.

Just saying ;)

lol agreed again, way too many people here just think US is the centre of the universe.

Agreed...although you cant blame them...its patriotic I guess. It seems to be the USA's (Not America as there is no such country as America) trait. Its good that they love the country (and I'll admit, as a regular visitor I love the place too!) but from an 'outsiders' perspective it can sometimes be perceived as "we're better than you", and when something does get released for 'everyone else' it's usually followed by "What....why don't WE get this offer...that's not fair!".

Meh either way, we created ARM, and without Johnny Ive (BRIT!) the Apple line up would be butt ugly.

Beat that France! :D :p

(gators rule!)

I voted positive because I'm a Brit, and it's free stuff.

But it would be hypocritical of me to say I think it's a good thing that this is UK-only when I get so annoyed by US-centric stuff so much of the time. They should run similar promotions of free stuff in every country.

And they should have the same prices for hardware and software in every country too.

It's not UK only.

I'm impressed they even managed to get the word Christmas past the censors.

You guys can have this round, but remember who won the Revolutionary War :p

The American colonials with the help of France, Spain and the Dutch, the three biggest empires after the UK. On home soil with bigger numbers.

Americans like to think they were underdogs in that war, when in fact they were far from it.

Ahhh it's been a while since I have seen a good ol' USA vs Rest of World thread on MR:D

Now now. Had it not been for that war then the nasty Brits would've imposed their draconian laws on the USA. They would've made them abolish slavery for instance, which would've been terrible for the US economy. Instead the good old boys got an extra 60 years forced labour before they decided it was time to discontinue that noble trade. Land of the free, home of the brave.
