25 Days TO Christmas

Just to chip in, we've been running a Christmas app that gives you a free app every day: http://bit.ly/Advent2010. It's available worldwide (and has been sitting at #1 in a lot of App Stores!).

We're just waiting on an update from Apple to fix an issue we're seeing with OS 3 devices at the moment. It's styled like a Christmas or Advent Calendar - each day you open a door to get your present. For those of you annoyed to be missing out on the '12 Days of Christmas' app, give this a shot Feel free to PM me any feedback, as we're always interested to hear from people.

I just opened the app expecting to get the countdown clock and instead I got a free Kylie EP. Is this a glitch or are they giving stuff away early? Has anyone else tried it?

I spent ages trying to get the EP, and didn't get very far. Most of the time I just ended up with a black screen with something like "Kylie Minogue EP" in grey at the top of the screen, and my iPod buttons at the bottom.

Christmas came early... Free Kylie Minogue EP just released through the 12 days app in UK. Don't know if it's any good but a freebie non the less.

Just curious, which "gifts" did Apple hand out in other countries? The iTunes store for Germany thus far gave away a Video EP by "Fettes Brot" (German hip hop band) on Dec 26, and two episodes of the comedy series "Stromberg" on the 27th.

(We also got the Kylie Minogue EP on Dec 16)

In the UK, yesterday was a Cheryl Cole song plus video, today is an episode of Father Ted. In France they got a Vanessa Paradis song yesterday and a find the hidden objects game today.

On my iPhone, when trying to download the Father Ted episode, the 'Buy Free' button immediately changes to 'Get All Episodes' - very sneaky.

Yes. Log into Quidco.com. They are also giving away the 12 days of christmas via iTunes, so you don't need to use the app. iTunes lets you download the episode. 642MB of it.

It was strange though because if you searched the iTunes Store for the Father Ted Christmas Special it wouldn't find it. I worked it out eventually.

Anyone have any idea why the 12 Days of Xmas App has an update? Isn't it year 2011 ready or something?
