looking forward to ios16 more than this but if someone needs an update, im sure this will be a big leap for them.

Another announcement, and another pass. Zero reasons to upgrade from my 12 Pro Max until they actually announce something innovative and different. God you are boring Apple. “This” close to getting a Galaxy Flip like my wife. The stuff she can do with her phone makes me envious daily. How about you skip a year Apple, unless you actually have something worth announcing? Zzzzzzzz
Love the flip, except I am so deep in the Apple Ecosystem, as is everyone else I know, it is very hard to switch just to the flip. Wish Apple would do a phone like that.

Why is the new Apple Watch available to order today but the iPhone 14 OS only available to preorder? do these folks make up their own language?

Really dislike the notch, still. I refuse to own a phone that has one. Rather have bezels instead.

Respectfully, I’m only quick to judge because retaining the same processor is surely going to cut its iOS support life by a year.

And now we have the Pro.

I mean, I'm not saying, but I'm trying to say...

BL.

I want to know whose satellites they'll be using. I've been very happy with my Garmin inReach, which uses the Iridium constellation. Online rumors point to Apple using Globalstar's.

Apple today announced the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, coming in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes that have the same design as the iPhone 13 but feature new cameras, faster performance, and satellite connectivity.

As heavily rumored, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature the ability to connect to satellite networks for emergency situations where normal cell towers may not reach. Using communication satellites, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus can guide customers to move closer to satellites as they move in orbit. When messages are sent using the new feature, they'll appear as gray within the Messages app.

The iPhone 14 and the new iPhone 14 Plus include the same overall design as the iPhone 13 but in a new larger 6.7-inch size. Both models have the same Retina XDR OLED display with True Tone, Haptic Touch, and up to a peak of 1200 nits of brightness. Internally, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature the same A15 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, offering improved performance.

On the back, Apple is adding new camera features compared to the iPhone 13. The new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature a new 12MP main camera with a larger sensor and larger pixels at 1.9 microns. The new larger sensor allows for a 49% improvement in low-light capture and makes Night-mode exposure twice as fast as before. On the front, there is a new 12MP front-facing camera with autofocus.

iPhone Plus: the beginning of a whole new naming scheme based on ladies clothing sizes. Next year the mini is reintroduced as iPhone Petite and the regular sizes are rebranded iPhone Juniors and iPhone Misses.

The iPad will use young men’s sizes with mini, air, and pro renamed iPad Slim, iPad Boys, and iPad Husky.

Let’s hope 14 sales dip because of SIM tray and they bring it back on 15. I refuse to be locked with carrier scams. Currently on tmo prepaid on esim and google fi data card on physical sim for travels. Also have international sim that I need to check SMS on

Jesus, Apple just twisting that knife.

2020: We heard some of you like small phones, check this out, here's our new iPhone mini!

Exactly why I’m fine with my 12 until it breaks, then replace with a discounted “whatever previous version” until Apple does a flip. The ecosystem really does hold you hostage. Although my wife didn’t flinch. She doesn’t have as much connected or invested in Apple products though. Still not even a hand signal option for taking a selfie. My phone feels like a dinosaur next to hers aside from my camera.

Satellite connectivity is pretty amazing, even in its currently limited form. But I wonder how much it will cost after the two years is up.

BTW, is it just my imagination, or does this Keynote have more Apple ad segments than any other?
