Skipped last year’s MacOS and iOS but I’ll definitely be jumping on this one.
And they have to stay on macOS 26.Intel Macs get the iShaft
macOS ComptonI’m waiting for MacOS Ambassador Bridge and macOS Key West
Apple can't win for losing. They made a LOT of changes that everyone was complaining about. What is the new complaint? Wallpaper. Something most people will change anyways is the new target of your angst? I guess they nailed this update if THAT'S all you've got to complain about. That wallpaper is extremely underwhelming. Could’ve been a great real shot of the bridge or something but no . We get this ugliness .
You can sandbox it by installing on a separate APFS volume and dual-boot. If you don't like the beta you can nuke it in disk utility and reclaim your disk space. To install the beta or not to install the beta, that's the question.
Probably will, though... 😉
the one very small upside to liquid glass is that they're buttons again instead of flat glyphsStill miss buttons which are rectangles with rounded corners, but I guess people aren't into these things anymore.
Compton is what the current iOS should have been called. It's just BAD!macOS Compton
macOS Haight-Ashbury
macOS Crenshaw
macOS Alameda
No, you are already getting one based on the CPU architecture.
Haight ashbury yes yes yes. wallpaper is tie dye with steal your face logo and marching bears!Compton is what the current iOS should have been called. It's just BAD!
I must have missed that. I would absolutely use that feature.I noticed at the beginning when they showed some feature improvements they said SideCar is now optimized for touch… is this a sign of the touchscreen MacBook?
I would gladly go back to paying $20-$30 or whatever Snow Leopard was back when they shipped biannually. 🙂Exactly, shouldn't the last OS for them be a polished experience?
Seriously, no need for a new OS every damn year. If Apple slowed down and took a few years between releases we could have an excellent user experience.
Eh, even when Apple was on multi-year release cycles they regularly released hot garbage (OS X Lion for example)Exactly, shouldn't the last OS for them be a polished experience?
