Sometimes yes, sometimes no. In my experience, most of the time it does.Yes but does it block the space where the ad was? The white space.
Apple should raise the price of the iPhone with the sku that includes the free voucher.Apple finding little ways to pad profit margins in a big way, that is Tim's #1 job after all.
Ads, not including chargers and/or cables with some products. It all adds up to a lot of extra profit overall. They lied and fooled people that it was for the environment with the cables/chargers. I wonder if they can somehow spin this as something admirable and get those same fools to fall for this as well.
Edit: For those disliking this without bothering to comment back, please answer one simple question. If it is not being done for profit reasons, why wouldn't Apple just include a voucher in the box for a free cable/charger if needed?
I wish it did it all the time. Oh well.Sometimes yes, sometimes no. In my experience, most of the time it does.
Maybe they could have a popup when someone goes to buy a charger from them for cash that says the user should take pause to consider how it will effect the environment before going through with the purchase. It is good to see some of the people who bought into the environmental lie are coming around to at least say it is for "both reasons". Originally those people were saying it was purely for the environment so progress is being made there.

Because Apple would allow them on the App Store...Good thing the search feature is easily accessed, I barely notice the ads. It'd be nice if someone made an app that could block ad content across the device!
You’re missing my point. At some point Apple will lose money as people will always have a cut off at how much they are willing to pay for a phone that they want. That’s with no recession or inflation. With them the cut off always comes sooner.Apple isn’t forced to lower their margins. An iPhone is a discretionary purchase. The price is the price. I understand overseas rates drove the price higher for some phones, but it is what it is.
I believe it’s also in response to developers and pundits claiming Apple’s old way prevented competition. Well now anyone can promote their App just like they can elsewhere, of course they get paid, but it still maintains privacy instead of handing it off to others. I believe ads could already be run in the apps. What would be interesting is if they compensate the app developer as if it’s from their page. They could also disallow apps from the same segment.I’m glad I’ve trained my brain to automatically ignore ads but it is still a d*ck move by Apple.
Okay, they will lose money and the market will speak. People will vote with their $$$.You’re missing my point. Ads get in the way of the user experience no matter what the product is. I can understand Apple defending adding advertisements, but I can't for the life of me understand why Apple customers would defend it.How are these ads negatively affecting you?
Just launched a new instance, I have 3 different Pi-Hole Physical locations 🤣.
If I’m specifically looking for App XYZ and the top three results are three different apps then this does negatively affect me.That's some pretty strong language. How are these ads negatively affecting you?
You cared enough to post in the thread about it thoughDon’t give 2 flying f’s lol
