“In the interim, Apple teased new Intel-based Macs in development, including an updated 27-inch iMac released in August. Apple said that it will continue to support and release new versions of macOS for Intel-based Macs for years to come.”

How many years? We just purchased a MBP and 27” iMac. I’m hoping it’ll be more than just a few years! Yes, I knew this was coming, but for our needs, we couldn’t wait.

It looks like the Mac Mini, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models all have the same 2TB storage / 16GB RAM limitations. The Air looks fine for me, but for others??? I’d imagine there are professionals out there where a 16GB RAM cap is just too low...

So, better cooling, battery life and two thunderbolt ports?
this is the first time im gonna say it, and i'll say it strong: this is not a pro device. they took the exact same chip showed off for a macbook air and a mac mini, slapped pro on it and then somehow claimed this sucker is going to perform way better, and called it "pro"

not even like an M2 or M1X, it's the same processor. no mention of it being higher clock speed, higher ram, better gpu, etc in the base config at this higher price.
