Having owned the MacBook Air 15, some may simply prefer the smaller footprint of the Pro 14” as well. Honestly the MacBook Air 13, MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Air 15 on the base chips will all likely perform similarly, all depends on the form factor and price you prefer
Very odd that the M5 models only have Thunderbolt 4 vs. M4's with Thunderbolt 5. I'm not sure what the real-world impacts of this are, but curious.
Jesus christ, i just registered on MacRumors to say, that they have the AUDACITY to freaking remove the charger, roflmao!
Give Tim 15-20 years and he will oblige. Base iCloud storage will still be 5GB however.
Does not come with a power adapter anymore in Europe. You can't even add an adapter unless you upgrade something!
the base m4 didn't have thunderbolt either, guess its just a “nobody is gonna notice that its gone” sorta deal
Aaaannndddd right on cue, the people who are never happy no matter what Apple does slink out of the woodwork to offer their complaints. It's really quite tiresome.....

Not in the UK or France, but looks like the US gets to keep their free charger.
Actually, I thought that they had to in Europe. And the reason they could get away without including one with the ipad was they argued it wasn’t a computer. 🤷

Am I confused or have they lowered the price? €1829 vs (if I recall correctly) €1929 for the base model in the Netherlands. UK, too?
It should be enough for the “Pro” who spend their time scrolling facebook and watch Netflix at Starbucks, lol
M5 Pro and M5 Max are coming in early 2026. These SoCs are using a new multi-chiplet process that TSMC is still ironing out at the production scale Apple needs.
Still no WiFi 7
Kind of interested that Apple did not move to the N1 in the MacBook Pro, but maybe the Broadcom Wi-Fi chip has certain functions N1 is not yet able to replicate.
You never actually used a Mac with 8GB if you think that's all it was capable of.
Besides, its been 16GB since the previous model for the base model anyway.
