Wait till the Pro Max machines are out, then you’ll get to upgrade to 128 GB, maybe even more this year.I get why Apple is still skimping on starting out at the low end for Memory/RAM, but it caps out at 32GB??? If I'm going to get a pro machine, I'm going to want more than that, especially after using this M1 MBP for so long. I suppose for the price, though, doubling the memory and storage is alright.
The M6 Macbook Pro is the one rumoured to be getting the major redesign.my guess is a redesign, perhaps vaporchamber cooling
You're saying Apple can't put the N1 chip in the Pro and Max models for some reason? Why is that
If they don't do it now, why would they do it in a few months? You're saying Apple can't put the N1 chip in the Pro and Max models for some reason? Why is that?
Sounds like you are complaining about people who are complaining about people complaining.
Who is not confused by the chip line up available right now? M2 Ultra 192 GB RAM to M5 with 32gb RAM max...
So Apple are saying they anticipate the UK pound to be weaker than the euro in the next 12-18 months despite the weakness of the dollar? Or are they gambling on British consumers paying up anyway?Same pricing in UK unfortunately. We only have the charger removed
You guys crack me up. I remember not that long ago people were complaining about 8GB not being enough, 16GB should be standard. Now that 16GB is standard "it should be at least 24GB!".Base memory on the 14" Pro needs to be at least 24GB. 16GB base for any Pro variant is a bit ridiculous in 2025.
Pro and Max models do have better features than the non-Pro MacBooks. Giving WIFI 7 in a Pro model and not the base model makes sense. If they don't do it now, why would they do it in a few months?
It has more powerful CPU & GPU and active cooling, thus supporting heavier workloadsWhy would anybody buy this over macbook air 15?
why does my macbook pro intel i7 2012 outperform my macbook airs 2020 M1 TODAY?
I hope it's rather that they Pro chip needs longer testing as it is aimed at higher memory bandwidth and sustained high workloadstheyre probably skipping the m5 pro and max macbooks because of the rumoured m6 redesign, if they make the base m5 macbook looking old compared to the other macbooks it would get people to buy the newer one
We don't care about the design... we want something powerfulThe M6 Macbook Pro is the one rumoured to be getting the major redesign.
- 512gb basestarts at 1800 Euro in Germany vs. 1100 for the Air. What do you get for 700 Euros?? (and no charger of course, that'll be another 65 Eur)
Using "we" is an interesting choice of words. Are you assuming everyone is on the same page? Speak for yourself. We don't care about the design... we want something powerful
- 512gb base
- 10 cores GPU (compared to 8 on the base model)
- Brighter screen
- Pro motion (120hz)
- Better battery life (+6h)
- A fan
- An SD card port
- An extra thunderbolt/usb port
- An HDMI Port
- Better sound system
- The brand new M5 chip for more performances...
You can just buy a significantly cheaper third party adapter that supports multiple usb cables.Does not come with a power adapter anymore in Europe. You can't even add an adapter unless you upgrade something!View attachment 2568047
