Apple Announces New 4-Inch iPhone SE Starting at $399

yea - I am completely blown away - sounds like they are taking a blood bath on margins on this model.

This tells me that the rumor of the iphone 7 plus with 2 camera and 256 GB option are quite possible. They will need this model to balance out their margins.

Too bad they couldn't cram in the 6s's screen resolution into that form factor. Hopefully new apps will still maintain support for that lower resolution. Here's hoping that they've decided to incorporate 2gb of RAM into it as well.

Really disappointing. They've announced this now to make it look like the SE is current, but when the iPhone 7 is announced it'll instantly be a gen behind. I do not want a small phone that gets the tech leftovers.

Tech leftovers? The fact it doesn't have worthless tech like 3D Touch is a selling point.

No, no 3D Touch and the FaceTime HD camera is still stuck at 1.2 Megapixels (compared to 5 in the 6S).

More gobsmacked at UK pricing; £359 for 16GB and £439 for 64GB.

That's awesome, you gotta respect Apple. They can release a phone with bezels from 5 years ago and consumers will eat it up, pure genius. I wonder if consumers don't realize how much larger of a screen they should have with today's technology.

Show us a better one handed phone in the same size currently available from any manufacture with the latest tech. We'll wait....

Once an elegant Apple product line slowly turning into a mess. Pro, SE, Plus, with 3D touch, without 3D touch, with Live Photos, without, this autumn with 2 cameras and with a single one... Want a smaller phone with all the features? Nope. Go get the huge one.

Fall is a long time away, I would bet they will be watching the sales to see if there needs to be another version next spring of the SE with the Iphone 7 components. Iphone SE+ anyone?

This keynote...protruding camera on the iPad? Ridiculous. Starting with 15 minutes of research and health was worthy, but incredibly boring. Only Phil Schiller exuded any appreciable enthusiasm. The Apple Watch is obviously selling badly; no sales figures and a 20% price drop. The iPad has been increased in price by 20%; just what is needed in the face of 8 quarters of plummeting sales. Shares are down post-keynote.
