Apple Announces New Apple TV 4K With A15 Bionic Chip and HDR10+ for $129

Honest question. I've got a 2017 4K Apple TV (with a A10X soc) - any reason to upgrade? I never noticed it being slow.
Is the 4K any better than HD? Some movies I buy on iTunes in SD? I do have a 4K but wondering if the 4K picture quality is better?

There is a model with an ethernet port.
What's stopping them from adding HDR10+ for the previous gen?
The point is that Apple wanted to stop producing the older 7nm chips.
Notice the budget iPad also got a 5 nm A14.
I'm just happy they didn't call it an "Apple TV Pro" and charge $199 for it.
They have 2 versions, one with wired ethernet (extra storage as well) and one without.

It's the only option for dynamic HDR metadata for Samsung TVs.
I'll buy one of these. One of my AppleTVs is aging out. I wished they would have kept ethernet in all configurations though. I will always use ethernet for streaming when it's available.
But this makes sense to have the HW first.
It wouldn’t make any sense at all to have a tvOS app that the HW couldn’t play it.
Maybe the A15 is for future games?

Why the heck is ethernet optional?!
Many people have their Internet router and main TV in the same location because that's where the cable line comes in. TVs and streaming boxes should always have an ethernet port so you can plug it in if possible. This is not only faster but reduces usage of WiFi bandwidth, resulting in better performance for other devices.
Why is Apple starting to make basic wired connectivity optional on non-portable devices? They did the same with the iMac; the cheapest model lacks Ethernet.
