Did not expect this. Always wanted a HomePod, this might be the one for me. $299 and more advanced, I’ll take it!
Wow, I thought the "smart speaker" went the way of the Dodo. I haven't heard anyone talk about them for a couple of years.

I’ve pre-ordered one. Not sure where I’m going to put it as my PG homepods are still working perfectly and I have minis in all my other rooms.
Interested to read the reviews on sound quality given the reduction in tweeters, and if the reduction in mics makes it less good at detecting and processing Siri requests when music is blasting out. Bluetooth still at 5.0 and WiFi downgraded are interesting choices too.
Possible to stereo pair it with an OG HomePod, do we think? Or maybe we'll just have to wait till it ships for people to try it.
That’s pretty cool. I have a dedicated sensor for this that works with my echo devices. Well Apple might just convert my over to homekit just yet. Currently using homepods for music and Echos for my smart home.

So they release a new HomeFlop with fewer speakers and fewer mics and no true spec bump to get excited about, and sell it at the same overpriced amount. Yep, the fan club members are pissing their pants right now with glee, but the rest of us are saying, "WTF is the point?!?"
SO im so far into the Apple Ecosystem, but iv'e been a big proponent of BOSE sound systems. I have the Home Stereo Bar from them and wondering how this compares to the sounder 500 home theater? Can one of these actually provide a quality sound system or is this all hype?

Not much reason to upgrade, then, is there? Guess I’ll wait for OWC or Best Buy sales in the future.
Why I need this?. No stereo out the box. No Spotify. No HiFi audio. So… just a pretty speaker. Buy a Huawei instead, those sound suuuuuper nice

Anyone find it odd that you can do Apple Card monthly payments for an iPhone case that costs $60, but you can't do 6 months or so for the HomePod?
I had an og and loved it. Sold it because I needed money at the time. Will definitely be buying a couple of them.
