This new iPad Air 13" is a good value and is basically the 6th Gen iPad Pro. Look are specs side by side, pretty close, and better than 5th Gen ipad Pro. The 7th gen iPad pro really smokes with M4 chip and gets it before any Macs.

Ridiculous isn’t it. Product from 2021, even had the balls to mention it at the end of the event as if it fits into the lineup.

Complete joke.
They called it 'mighty', but compared to all the M chips (and newer A chips) around these days that description doesn't really fit anymore.

128GB about time!

I hope the build quality is much better than the 5th gen Air, there were so many reported issues when it launched. Pity they haven’t brought any changes to the screen, maybe it could have inherited Mini LED or something.

Would potentially be interested in the 13”, can imagine it’s going to be a very popular model choice.
I’ve had my Air 5 for over 2 years, no issues with mine at all. I use it for a lot of note taking at work, so I’m constantly on OneNote.

Not going to update to this iPad Air model. I’m content with my M1, but for those of you who didn’t want the 4 or 5, this could be for you. Especially with 128GB of storage as the base.

I was still impressed by it, but my M1 will work well for me. Going strong for over two years and it’s my favorite iPad ever. Again, if you have the iPad Air 4 or something further back (or an older different model), this might be your time to hop in.

This is also the case for the new iPads pro, no charging adapter in the box, just the cable.
These are screenshots of the US store. 20W adapter is included with both.

Perfect for me.

Three kids at home, three iPad Air 4s to upgrade. They are excited for the color choices. I used to have to opt for the 256gb model to avoid space headaches. I am saving $200 on that per iPad alone.

128gb should be fine, decent trade in values even compared to private resale. We should be set for another 3-4 years for under $1000.

Disappointed it's still Touch ID. I want to get one for my Dad but he always struggled with Touch ID on the iPhone and Face ID was a revelation for him. No way does he need a Pro.
Completely agree. I had Touch ID on my air 4. Was going to upgrade for Face ID so no deal for me. Don’t need the features of a pro. Maybe next gen!

Can’t see Apple Pencil 2 support listed in the Air specs, but v1 and the new one are. Bit of a downer if they’ve skipped the one I’ve got!

Calling the new iPad Air 11" when actually it's the same size screen and resolution as the 10.9" iPad Air it replaces, actually feels like they are trying to make you feel like they've upgraded the screen size?!

Under the 13” spec they state: “Measured diagonally as a rectangle, the 13‑inch iPad Air is 12.9 inches. Actual viewable area is less.”

So not 13” then!

Haha Touch ID is the only reason I’m getting it instead of a Pro.

Face ID, Apple...?

Why oh why does this still come with Touch ID (or Touch ID only, with no extra Face ID)?

Isn't the most disappointing part the touch ID again?? Like, come on, why not gave us Face ID??
Same with my MIL. Nothing Apple makes is for older people.

Apple perfectly well know this is an issue for older users, but obviously they think this group are all well-off so can just pay 50% extra for the only feature they need from the Pro's! Cynical move.

Next we'll still have the Touch ID in the next iPad Mini's as well...for no apparent reason, given there's only one model in this size... iPad Mini Pro, anyone? Come on Apple, stop mucking buyers around on such obviously very much wanted basic security login features.

I wish Apple had promoted the Mini into the Air lineup and given the whole lineup Pro Motion displays. An M2 Mini with Stage Manager and the Air's slightly faster USB C port is close to the perfect travel device for me.
