Solid offering with only a couple of nits. Base network connectivity is 1Gb Ethernet rather than 2.5Gb. At least 10G Ethernet is an option at +$100 on all models 👍 A 32MB memory option on the Pro version would've been nice too.

Very good pricing on the base Mac mini. At $599, you get 10/10 cores, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage. The comparable 10/10 iMac is $1,499 - so you are basically paying $900 for the monitor, keyboard and trackpad on the iMac, which seems a tad bit too much.

Excited that base model has non-binned M4, but bummed it has internal PSU (external would have allowed for one cable to monitor / one less power cable at desk).

Overall happy though. Base model with $200 upgrade to 24gb for $799 is solid.

No on/off switch???
Bottom. Odd place to put the power button.

Am I reading wrong? The BASE Mac mini can output to 2 displays, one at 4K 240hz and the other at 5k 60Hz? I expected to need the M4 Pro for that.

I still balk at paying £200 for 256GB of extra storage... I find that criminal and I'd like to have words with the specific person at Apple who signs off on that level of gouging.. but I do want one.
You are forced to buy Mac Studio. For 99% of users 16GB up to 24GB of ram is plenty for daily activity use.
