I’m still sticking with my M1 Pro for ProMotion and larger screen, but damn that midnight color looks tempting. It’d be a tougher choice if I didn’t already have the M1 Pro.

Next week we'll start to hear rumours about the next generation MacBook Air with smaller bezels and M3 (possibly M3 Max) processor and 17" screen. And that's exactly what I'll be waiting for.

Cannot wait to get my hands on 17" Air in beautiful forest green colour. Meanwhile I'll keep using my Air M1 in stunning Space Grey.
Someone's salty apple came out with something newer than what they currently have

Agreed. A larger screen macbook air option would be nice.

A 16 inch macbook pro is twice the price or the air which is a jump that's difficult to justify when the air is now borderline pro in performance compared with Intel laptops.

I’ve been really looking forward to this new MacBook Air being released!

I’m glad that Apple is finally bringing back the MagSafe connector and it comes in blue which is my favorite color! I have the Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro so I’ll definitely be purchasing the blue MBA

I’m still using an Intel MacBook Pro and have been really looking forward to getting a new MacBook Air with Apple Silicon

This new redesigned MacBook Air looks incredible and it will be so much lighter and more powerful than the Intel MacBook Pro that I’m using so I can’t wait to take this with me when I go traveling!
It does not come in blue

The Air looks great. No idea on the base model specs. That midnight color

Though I really like it, I'm surprised they opted to not make the Air more cohesive with the look of the 24" iMac, which now looks even more like the Mac for children.

Both M2 models, MBA and 13"MBP, max out at 2TB SSD :( There goes my buy. I'd have ordered it straight away. But coming from a 2TB Intel MBP I definitely want the next biggest disk size now...

Too bad, that's that for the next 2 years I guess. And the MBP's have become so bulky and heavy :/

Keeping the M1 model around for the same price is needlessly complicated IMO. Very few people will need the M2 model enough to justify the extra cost, so for most people, it’s a $200 luxury bump.

ProMotion would make it worth it, but that’s not even on the new M2 MacBook Pro.
ProMotion would be the one thing I can think of to differentiate the low end “Pro” from the Air, but they’re inexplicably not changing anything.

For me, this was the highlight of the keynote. I currently work on a late 2019 iMac and was considering switching to a laptop. This was what I was looking for.
