Would they offer such a bigger-screened version? That would eat into their 16” M1 Pro sales. I’m actually now thinking of returning my 16” M1 Pro for this new 13.6” M2 Air.
one of the main reasons the air was popular was the price of $999. This increase is hard to swallow
The M1 air is $899 now, just buy that instead
What I don't get is why they kept the 13" Pro. What is the purpose of that model?
I literally returned the M1 MacBook Air yesterday I bought two weeks ago as a graduation present. So glad I did! Going to get the Midnight MacBook Air. Replacing my 2016 13” Touchbar MBP! 🥳
UGHHHHH, yes I am wondering the same. It’s close to 14 inches. So much lighter, thinner, more portable with amazing battery life. About half the price.
Oh, I didn’t realize that there wasn’t a blue color.

That's student pricing, although you can usually get the base Air for even cheaper on frequent Costco/BB sales.
Looks great and is a good option for those who might not need a MacBook Pro but want something more than the current Air. The potential for 24 GB of RAM is huge too.
If it's like the 14/16 MBP (no reason it shouldn't), it charges both through MagSafe and USB-C.
Unless there was a recent change made that I'm not aware of, anyone can get student pricing since they don't check if you're a student. I think the one caveat is you're limited to one or two student purchases per year.
Wow, these look amazing. The midnight blue is hot hot hot. I'm so glad there's no pastels, white bezels or keyboard. I'll miss the wedge, but man, beautiful!

The form factor is too thin, it’s priced appropriately without promotion, all the higher tech stuff belongs to the thicker, more expensive and bulbous couins.Why no promotion?
