i assume we are waiting for an apple employ to go to the office and release:D

I'm getting as much work done now as I can given I'm working from home and expect my already fairly slow broadband to grind to a halt when it comes out...

Ibtimes reckons 10am PDT which I think is 5 or 6pm London time..

This is based on previous iOS releases..

I am just curious to give Siri a go on my iPad. I am really hoping I'll be able to talk to it on my way home from work in the car adding things to omnifocus either by the app or sending it an email. My galaxy s2 is awful at recognising voice prompts; shouting a simple call command rarely works for me :-(

Your Broadband will be fine. The update will be trickling down from Apple so it won't make much difference to anything else you will be doing online.

----------

according to last years update it will start releasing 10:00 am. Pacific Time USA. :)

And the year before that, and the year before that.

And next year will be the same as well, but it won't stop people repeatedly asking over and over again when it will be released, often multiple times on the same page. :)

Really?

The only thing in iOS6 that is of any interest to me is not needing a password to update apps.

Other than that it's a pretty poor update to the os compared to previous updates

Pretty Poor update? Navigation, Facebook integration, New camera UI? seriously and your worried about typing your password?

I'm psyched for the phone number and apple id integration for iMessage. So annoying to have multiple conversations going with the same person. Hoping this finally becomes seamless.

The iMessage fix should hopefully also mean that if someone iMessages my phone number, it pops up on my iPad and Mac.

You can already fix this with iOS5 by having your friends iMessage you via your email address instead of phone number. I immediately asked my friends to start doing that as soon as I installed Mountain Lion and my messages have been synced ever since.

Alright it's 7:45 am pacific time, means time to go to work and hopefully during my lunch break I'll be alble to update, fingers crissed :). Feel sorry for the folks who have been waiting the whole day long!

Well, yeah, but that's not really a fix. That's a workaround, and it assumes that other people will remember to do that, which they often don't. iOS6 is supposedly going to fix this altogether without anyone needing to remember to send their message to x rather than y.

Old...

I think iOS starts to look old. You only notice the new things if you're really into your phone if you now what I mean.

I hate Androids lag of everything... But iOS should get a "real" update.

Starts to be very BORING to see news from Apple :-/

I imagine it gets to be a bit boring traveling on Japan's Shinkansen every day, but you're still going almost 190mph on arguably the most technologically advanced transport system in the world.

It makes more sense for people to send messages via your email address, anyway. After all, that is the place they send email.

Now, we just need the ability to receive phone calls via our email address. :)
