damn thing is the worst and least interesting Apple product in years.
I won't buy it even at 1/3 of current price.(serious).
just so limited, ugly, little value for money..useless.
I love my apple watch - very useful and well worth the price. and my iPhone battery lasts significantly longer since i'm not lighting up the 6+ all day... there are foods i knew i didn't like - until i tried them that is...

No, you're right. It doesn't have it.

The face of the watch is just too small - I think that's the problem. Plus the fact that it's not fully functional apart from a iPhone.

Fitness and Health? YES

General Purpose? NO
do you have one? i have one - it works great and definitely functional - i rarely have to pull my phone out of my pocket or laptop bag. works great and works anywhere on my work campus - the phone often stays tucked away in the office - sometimes the car if i park in wifi reach. And i can answer calls via wifi etc.

Wondering whether you have to register your  Watch or whether you can just install the updates when your iPhone gets the iOS 9 Beta. I haven't heard of anyone registering their watch for beta updates before.
you do register the UUID that can be found in the apple watch app on the phone and place it in the profiles portion of the developer portal - just like an iPhone / iPad etc...

Native apps is huge... a game changer, for sure. I couldn't believe how fast those 3rd party apps launched. Nice!

I was a little disappointed by the lack of 3rd party watch faces, but all in all, this is a very solid update; definitely much bigger than I was expecting considering the watch isn't even available for sale at retail.

This is very true,I confirm this.
I have an Apple store nearby so I visit it often,I've never seen more than 1 or 2 people near that watch display table, even at busiest times.

To add to this anecdotal evidence, i just walked past the Huaihai Road Store in Shanghai at 1.30pm and although there was about 30 to 40 people on the ground floor, not a single one was checking out the watch tables.

There were 20 checking the watch out in the one at The Oracle inReading on Saturday. So what?

Can anyone confirm if night stand mode reconfigures in portrait orientation, or is it landscape only?

unfortunately it has to be on its side... sorta making my 12South Stand obsolete... argggggggg

Would you consider switching to sleeping standing up? ;)

I imagine the locked downlandscape mode is designed to support the 'Snooze' and 'Off' buttons leverage against your nightstand - - but can't you just use the standard time and alarm functions in portrait?

Well I happened to walk past an Apple Store immediately after I read the previous post :p

Again, it's only anecdotal evidence, but it gives us a more rounded picture of international interest, based on Apple Store footfall? I know it's an incomplete representation.

So my take away from your post is that Reading seems to have a lot more interest than Shanghai! (well, if you don't count this hideous human being)

And I was at my local Apple store on Saturday, and there were at least a dozen people mobbed around the watch table. Does it mean anything either? No.

I don't think that putting the watches below the surface of the table helps, as this essentially says, "we don't want you touching these." The ones above the tables with the iPad sales pitch on them don't let you fully interact with them (I went and played with them several times before getting my watch, and let's just say it didn't help build excitement), so people get confused, or bored. A lot of people are kinesthetic learners, and when the watch is essentially telling you what it wants you to know, and not what you want to know about it to convince you to buy it, that is where, I think, the problem lies.

Contrast that to the iPad, iPhone, iPod, iMac, MacBooks, where you can very easily interact with them as if they are yours.

I think that's the difference.

Exactly. It's pointless unless you actually measure it properly and fairly. Otherwise it's just subjective. Also, there's nothing stopping people just making it up for this forum because they want to try and push their disdain for the watch onto others.

Can you tell this forum is jading me.

It's not a game changer, but it certainly paves the way for someone to change the game (Actual game changer)

Great updates! I was hoping for 3rd party watch faces too... But I prefer to wait longer for them then some half baked solution.

The AW is great though! It's so much better than my Garmin Fenix 3 its not even funny :)
