Event is prerecorded? The entire thing or just parts of it? Have they been doing that post-COVID?
There is currently a COVID surge in the U.S., with a new variant that evades both natural immunity from a prior infection and immunity from the current vaccines, so it's best for people's health that the event is prerecorded.

Can someone help me decide Pro or Pro Max?

I had 7 Plus, XS Max, 13 Pro...I cannot decide if the the Pro Max will still be too heavy as 200g is as high as I would like but does the weight even out proportionally with a bigger device?

Also I think the reduced bezel size and rounded edges will make it more comfortable. I almost wish I could order both and return the one I don't like.

Another take on the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max line up.

Could we stop saying the periscope design needs space to work and hence only on the premium bigger device?

If Apple wanted to they could fit this in any phone... and they will eventually.
They are using it simply to sell the biggest and best for the most money.
And that's fine.

so no need to spin it any other way ;)

Thoughts on this? USB-C confirmed?

Gee, I wish you hadn’t posted that. The art looked great to me before, but now all I see are dirty schoolboy doodles. Between that and the others complaining about “lust”, you now have me thinking Apple might be trolling us about the predicted price increases and what they are doing to the customers. BOHICA

The USB-C revolution has started. Think different.

But actually, it's completed, not started. The other major lines of Apple products are already USB-C and have been for up to many years now. This will just complete what Apple started... at last!

A few accessory items may have to "catch up" but that's likely to be quick once the mighty iPhone makes the change. And then it's finally "one cable to rule them all" in the Appleverse.

Think not being fined by the EU.
Technically, it reads like they could have waited until the 2025 iPhone 17 to move to USB-C, as the rules make it sound like they could introduce it with a Lightning port up until Dec 30, 2024 and still be okay.

“By the end of 2024, all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU will have to be equipped with a USB Type-C charging port.”

“The new rules would not apply to products placed on the market before the date of application.”

I recall the complaints when they switched the original Dock connector to Lightning, and again when they switched their notebooks to USB-C, and find it weird how many now say they are only moving because they are being forced, as they have already been switching the iPads over time. A gradual change makes some sense, as there are some that prefer Lightning. Basically, Apple are truly damned if they do, or if they don’t, when it comes to transitions. That said, the new iPad having a USB-C port, but still using a Lightning Pencil 1 is truly, truly stupid.

Honestly, I regret the whole year not getting a silver iPhone last year. I don't want to go through that same problem again. So it's either Blue + Grey or Blue + Silver for me. I'm not sure what the Silver iPhone is going to look like. In addition, Apple needs to do a good job with a Blue iPhone. The Purple iPhone 14 Pro Max got dull and boring fast.
I got the Deep Purple last year and honestly, for the last 6months I really don't like it. Yeah, it's a minor issue of course, but still I had to get a black case to cover it up. My favorite color has been the Sierra Blue on the 13 Pro Max. I wish they had a color close to that.

I despise pre-recorded presentations and keynotes. They seem so fake, and they remove the magic of the apparent spontaneity of the crowd.
Problem is all companies are going this route either at trade shows like CES or IFA, or their own site produced events. It's more efficient time allocation usage. No software/hardware failures occur that you need to work around. People not forgetting their lines when presenting their speciality segments. The press can play back the pre-recorded presentations or keynotes as much as they want to generate articles or news. No person out sick for their part in all this.
